HELP!!! My innova D4D Black smoke- pls Help!!!

papalitan lang nila mga pyesa na sa tingin nila eh dapat palitan hanggang under warranty pa oto... siguro kung ma media na sila eh tsaka lang sila magrerefund.

yup, ganun na nga madam liv... pinababalik ako pa emmision test ko daw sa kanila, sabi ko wag na muna... mag aaksaya lang kami ng panahon at krudo... ipapasa nila yan... kung yun ngang bus, fx at jeepney sa kalye nakakapasa yun pa kayang 7 month old kong innova... hindi dun ang punto eh...

nakakainis lang sunod sila ng sunod sa utos ng nakakataas kahit ala doon ang saktong solusyon...

hindi ako papayag na baklas kabit sila sa parts ng oto ko na hindi naman nila natutunton ang totoong problema... pinaraya ko na sa kanila ito ng 2 weeks, after 3 days ayun na naman ang usok... pinalitan daw ng gasket at cleaning ang ginawa nila...

sabi nila me darating daw na software from Japan na sa pagkaka alam ko eh magtitimpla ng buga ng krudo o mag command sa computer box ng ating oto... eh di ba assembled in thailand ito? i mean di ba dapat sa thailand manggaling ang kung ano man dahil sila nakaka alam ng assembly nito???

suggest ko lang na patignan mo ang EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system mo. sa innova ko, di naman umusok pero umilaw ang check engine light sa panel, nung dinala ko sa toyota, egr daw, i researched what an egr is, ito daw ung nagrerecyle ng ilang percent ng emissions ng engine pabalik sa makina para di mausok ang tambutso ng sasakyan. pag sira daw ito, hindi effective ang recycling ng emissions kaya mausok ang sasakyan. again, hindi ako sure dito, pero its worth a try.

EGR does not recycle the exhaust but rather re-circulate.. its main purpose is to control the NOX emission of diesel engines.. EGR is commonly installed on Turbo charged diesel engines.. Why?? because NOX is produced when the combustion temperature of diesel engine is high plus an Oxygen rich air provided by the Turbo system.. to control this NOX emission, EGR was installed to timely inject just enough INERT GAS ( which the engine has and abundant source - exhaust gas) to lower the oxygen and temperature of the combustion and therefore decreasing the NOX emission...(do not confuse NOX with NOS that was used to boost power in Fast and furious movie)

Also a good alternative to EGR is the Alcohol / Water injection system (there is already a thread regarding Alcohol water injection)

ok guys i'm back from the trip .. total drive of 560 kms with abt 30 km of hilly drive in between the A/C was on throughout with 6 ppl and their small bags. Well the good news is " no smoke " so far.. it gave me a decent mileage of 12 KMPL but somehow i feel that the cars too noisy after 120 KMPH. it almost seems like it needs another gear.. maybe the 5th gear is too short. Looks like catalytic converter along with ECM RE-MAP is the solution guys.. so far so good... will keep ya'll updated.

That's nice to hear but usually when we use our car in long drive it actually lessen the black smoke for temporarily but it will come back if we used it regularly in city driving where we usually encounter traffic. That is when the carbons builds up and results to black smoke.

Pare a lot of new innova owners are coming out having the same problem. Maybe we can ask them to join our coalition to strengthen our group. We have to do something to resolve our problem. DTI is not the solution but just a waste of time. If they (Innova owners) will join us we can have a surprised visit in TMP head office and invite some media men to cover this event.

1 month old d4d owner ako''' dapat may mag lead na sa coalition niyo' tapos gawin niyo ang dapat gawin para mabigyan na ng solution ang problema na ito!!! dahil pag ginawa niyo yan, kayo na ang lalapitan ng mga naka innova d4d's at hihingi ng tulong pag dumating ang oras na ang innova nila(namin) ang umusok!!! di lang sarili niyo ang na_solusyunan, lahat ng naka 2.5d4d's natulungan niyo pa!!!!

Just came from Otis where I had my vehicle serviced.

I saw an early 2006 Fortuner 3.0 V D-4D emitting lots of smoke as they were driving it from the receiving area to the service bay. It started bellowing smoke accelerating at about 25 km/h or less.
