Actually my guess is the Yaris hatchback will start in the P600K+ range.
According to a Toyota sales agent, the Yaris will most likely have a higher base price than the Vios.
I think the Thai built ASEAN Yaris is currently available only with a 1.5 liter engine and is priced a bit higher than the equivalent Vios in Thailand, which means there's a possibility the sales agent was sort of telling the truth.

Bad move, Toyota. Remember, it was their pricing for the subcompact/hatch car that killed the Echo. They gotta make it more attractive price-wise with the Jazz which has a starting price of P632k (m/t variant).
