Ngayon ko lang naisip, the 2.5D4d's 102bhp is between the 99bhp GEN II Pajero and the 125bhp Gen II.5. Of course, the 3.0D4d outpowers them all.

my experience on normal day-to-day traffic (from my house in pque to office in mkti) I get around 8.3 km/l. Kapag long-drives (Baguio, Batangas) I get around 10 km/l. Just an observation, kapag normal city driving, the fuel consumption displayed on the dash is almost the same as the actual consumption based from my computation. Kapag long-drive, medyo malayo na...

If pure hiway driving, I get 12-12.5Km/L
Pag mix hiway and city I only get around 10.2Km/L
My unit is 2.5D4D A/T and ODO reading is 3700+.
The fuel consumption is not that bad if I will compare it with our G2 Pajero 2.5DSL A/T (7.6Km/L) & Revo 2.4DSL M/T(11.3Km/L) for mix hiway / city driving.

May 5th, 2006 10:19 PM #36Been using the Fortuner for mixed city and highway driving, first time I filled up the odometer read 650kms... 9.8km/lit. Second time I filled up the odometer read 1250kms. I'm sure the engine will be more efficient once it's fully broken in. The Fortuner's fuel consumption figures are better than my Pathfinder's 8.5km/lit reading. I'll be adding bio-active fuel additive next time to see if there are any improvements.
