Dangerous is correct.
Pero iyon ngang D4D engine problems walang ginagawa ang TMPI, ito pa kaya na mukhang mas "rare" yung problema?
I wonder if all Altis's are affected? Or just the 2004 models? Or are all toyota vehicles (vios, fortuner, innova, hilux, etc) prone to this defect? Makes me want to sell my 2002 altis.
To be fair, though, so far, I've not experienced this defect.

nung pinaayos ko yung isang car ko sa talyer ng friend ko i noticed na merong 2 altis dun na nakababa ang fuel tank, i asked my owner friend and he said may leak daw. and both of them at the top kaya pag nagpa fulltank ka siguradong mag overflow, sakit daw ng mga altis ito. yung isang altis dun is 2004model up and the other one 2003. I believe hindi lang sa altis confined ang problem ng leaky fuel tank, even the 2004 camry of one of the owners of toyota q ave pinapalitan din niya yung tank. and yung butas is on the top part also.

November 22nd, 2016 12:14 AM #25Sorry for reviving an old thread. Pero eto problema ng Altis ko ngayon (2003 model, 1.8G). Pag nagfufull tank naglealeak somewhere. Sabi sakin ng mekaniko sa may upper left ng tanke daw ang butas at sakit daw to usually ng ganitong model. Ang tanong ko is if may alam kayong shop na gumagawa ng ganitong specific na problema sa may south area sana (alabang, las pinas area) or sa may valenzuela area. TIA!
