April 24th, 2004 07:01 AM #13tama is walter, wala naman 1.8L gas engine na nasa classification ng fuel efficiency eh...kung gusto mo ng fuel efficiency e di dapat 1.3L or below ang kunin na engine displacement.
Secondly, A/T are really power hungry transmissions and yet would put it out sa gulong for speed.

April 24th, 2004 10:27 AM #15fuel efficiency is not a reason for a recall. siguro kung safety issues, pwedeng pwede.
tingnan mo a gasolina na terrano, ni-recall ba? eh parang 4 to 5 kms per liter lang yon.
moral of the story, before buying any vehicle, research muna. tingnan mo ako, sinubukan mag-F150, reklamo naman sa gasolina at maintennance cost. di ko naman pwedeng kasuhan ang ford, eh hindi naman nila ako pinilitang bumili ng unit nila
is lang ang solusyon dyan, engine swap to a 4.2 liter turbo diesel
ehehehehehe. lilipad na siguro yung revo nyan

I don't LadyTruck is right, fuel efficiency is not a valid reason for Recall since TOYOTA never claimed anything about its fuel efficiency. Yun 1.8L na engine w/c consumes 4km/Lit is just right considering yun Big body nya and it will also depend sa USER! I have an Accord 2L, it's consuming an average of 5 to 6 sa normal (meaning slow) driving but when i'm reving it sa road specially pag mabigat ang foot ko sa pedal it averages to 3 to 4km/L. Yun SUV na you're telling us na 12Km/L? Sa provincial road yun dumaan and the purpose of their travel was patipidan ng consume ng fuel. OA lang nanaman si TULFO (bka may lagay pa yan from other comapnies coz REVO had a big lead in sales this yr, around 40% share sa market! huh!!!!)

HAHAHAHA!
Pero there's a little solution sa prob nya, pwede nya for starters change the Filters, the hi-tension wires, and the spark plugs. Basic yan, for sure he can add another km sa consumption nya... K&n/Simota for free flow air, Splitfire for sure steady power for burning the 4tips BOSCH sparkplugs! ok na yan! did that many times and it's effective... sa akin... pag mareklamo pa din CHANGE TO DIESEL ENGINE NA SYA!

kaso.. nasa 700K lang ang budget namin.. so anong big car na pwedeng bilhin with that price??
gusto sana namin eh yung xtrail, crv or rav4 dahil based on our own research eh mas matipid ng konti sa gas compared sa revo.. the xtrail 2.5 can even manage a 8 to 11km per liter based sa DOE test run (correct me kung mali figures ko po
so with that budget of 700K.. either we wait a few more years.. years po ah.. para maka ipon ng 1.1M ..or bumili ng sasakyan para meron ng magamit?
so our choice was to buy the revo gsx 2.0 model.. so far no regrets.. pero ang sakit sa bulsa pag napapa-gas ako hehe

shopping for a car (for normal people on a budget, like me) is all about compromise naman. kung habol mo talaga ang gas mileage, then i think the king would be the isuzu diesel crosswind? tama ba yon?

Maraming Salamat :)
