i try blanking plates and k&n air filter muna bago yung race chip, obserbahan ko muna

i was able to drive an innova 2.5 d4d j when my friend bought one, 1st gear acceleration was fast as if parang gas engine lang but pag dating sa 2 and 3 medyo mabagal mag accelerate but you will notice it has a lot of torque which is the norm for a diesel engine, but compared to old school diesel it's a leap beyond.

in my opinion nasa driver siguro yan kung gamay na niya yung auto, cause my friend who own that innova, he's usual cruising highway speed is 150kph -170kph and in the city way above the normal driving limit (never rode with him again)

the 2.0 VVTi is really really slow. you really have to step on the gas to get it going. That means bad FC too.
The 2KD-FTV gets you to decent speeds faster than the VVTi without really pushing it. Yun nga lang wala masyadong top speed.
Parang contradicting paps, kasi it will be impossible for a D4D innova to get into a decent speed faster than a VVTi, kung from stop, I will agree, but kung parehas nakabwelo, it will be impossible. Mababa ang rpm ng diesel engines so it will require more time para makaipon ng enough energy to gain speed.

You cannot change top speed without changing the rpm, for the rpm to remain constant and you want a change in speed, change your differential gear box.

RPM is directly proportional sa speed in every gear ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd..), so if you want to change your top speed, it means red line speed, change your gear box.

Btw, I am talking here in ideal conditions, ie. negligible wind drag, flat straight road.. etc.. or sa isang salita sa speedtest laboratories.

^Yeah, it's the gearing that determines the rpm at a certain speed. One way around it is to place larger diameter tires.

A stock Innova D4d m/t will be hard pressed to hit 160kph on a flat road. I wouldnt even think much of running at that speed either; 120-140kph is pretty much good enough for those open stretches so it's really the acceleration/passing power where it would be best to improve on when you go into doing mods.

You are probably right. I did 140kph at sctex on my mt d4d and odo is almost at 4K rpm.

Wilcat is probably talking about accelerating from stop as you mentioned. D4D is also better at doing overtaking at lower speeds because of its higher torque than the vvti. I experienced this myself when I travelled to isabela on two close occassions using a vvti rental innova and my d4d. A chip mod would probably be a good idea for a little more umphh.

I cannot contradict your statement as I have no experience with a D4D engine.

    Stock horsepower :102HP

    Tuned horsepower : 167HP

    Stock Tourqe : 260NM

    Tuned Torque : 380NM

    PLUG AND PLAY

    PRICE PHP : 35,000.00
