Toyota Corolla (E20)
OMG.

To me, the second and 3rd generation corollas were such beautiful, compact cars.
In high school, a friend had a yellow, beat up E20 sprinter that wasn’t much different from this unit.

The 4rth (?) gen E70’s liftback DX (circa mga 1980-83) were also “gwapo” cars.

However, the ULTIMATE 70’s era car for me, even more than our beloved J40 Land Cruiser now in some scrap heap somewhere, would be the first generation Toyota CELICA (with reverse opening hood). I was so happy to see a pristine unit in Nagoya some time back, lovingly rebuilt.

If I could only ever get a decent body, engine and enough time...
I wonder how their engines would run with today’s unleaded, ethanol blend fuels though.
