Yebo, how will I find out if my car has a dpf? My 2014 Accent has this canister after the turbo, but doesn’t have the piping & spark plug like thing (I guess for the diesel fuel to be pumped in to burn the soot in regeneration) but my 2018 Sportage has it. Auto regeneration yun dba? Honestly, ayoko ng dpf.

Pag walang dpf it is turbo-pipe-muffler. Pag meron dpf it is turbo-pipe-dpf-pipe-muffler. So may extra canister na malaki, sometimes even bigger than the muffler.

Mahal ang components ng dpf so hindi nila iinstall yan tapos di nila ikakabit. Meron yan connections di lang siguro kita.

Most models na walang DPF after the turbo, normally oxidation catalyst ang nakakabit. Yung mga Euro 2 engines normally ganito.

Wala atang dpf yung Accent crdi ko. Naalala ko nga pala na yung mga 2015 Accent iba yung canister at may piping at yung parang ignitor. Yung sakin wala talaga. Ang meron piping at ignitor yung Sportage.
Sana meron ditong may dpf na naka experience ng regeneration para ma enlighten tayong lahat.

Did you find it in your Sporty sir Bloo? The big canister after the turbo with the extra pipes and spark plug-like attachment, tama po ba?

In any case, if your vehicle has one, you just need to drive it at a good speed of at least 90-100KpH for a minimum of 1 hour straight every 2 weeks so it regens and burns off the soot, that is my understanding as explained to me also.

I just hope these faulty DPFs haven't reached our shores.

I had a feeling that was it, in denial lang kasi I would rather not have it So I guess ours have an auto regeneration because there is an icon in the dash that can light up when regenerating I guess.

As per my research sir Bloo, that icon lights up when active regeneration is needed, that means we have to do a spirited run to Subic just to make sure we get that soot burned off, hehe.

Palagay ko di talaga magkakaron ng problem ang grand starex dpf. Or any hyundai/kia crdi for that matter. ANG SARAP KASI IHATAW.
