I have the same problem as you do, pag cold start kailangan i-warm up kumbaga yung engine for 15-20 seconds para lang mag normal yung idle.
It's as if nasira yung idle up.
I don't think spark plugs ang problem, or yung distributor. Napansin ko nalang yung car ko ganyan na right after siya na-Ondoy... pero di naman nalubog yun makina or distributor. Please do let us know kung na-solve mo yung problem.. di naman siya ganun kalaking problema kasi pag warm start ok naman, pero nakakainis lang.
btw changing gas to non-E10 doesn't work, I've already tried Caltex gold nung di pa siya E10 at Blaze, same problems. napalitan ko na rin hiten wires at distributor rotor wala pa rin. it's somewhere in there, but it's hard to troubleshoot kasi nga the engine has to be cold so kailangan niya i-homeservice or iwan sa talyer.

September 28th, 2010 10:35 AM #12Nice to know I'm not alone in this
Actually yesterday I openned my carburetor and saw that the choke wasn't closed enough when I was about to start the car. The wire for the bi metallic assembly was on the way so I re-positioned the wires.
But this morning it started OK for 3secs mejo mataas ung Idle (this should be normal) kaya lang after 3 secs bumbaba ulit ung idle.
So I think what happens is the Choke pull off might be openning the choke too much already kaya mataas ung hangin sa A/F ratio during starting kaya mejo pupugakpugak na naman.
ang alam ko kasi dapat during cold starting, the choke should be fully closed, and unti-unti sya i oopen ng bi metallic spring (habang umiinit ung engine).
So I think what happens is na oopen agad yung choke.
I will check ulit maya, office kasi ako kaya do ko matutukan
Any ideas is welcome, thanks

Baka naman puwede yung spring lang yung palitan if it opens the choke too soon, I will also try to observe my car tomorrow morning and see if the choke is partially open as well.
Sa surplasan sigurado may carb ng 2E... around 1K lang sya

You'd be surprised at how many junked 2E engines and engine parts there are in this country... never thought it'd be the carb, sa kaso ko kasi di naman nabaha carb ko, pero baka nga worn out na yung spring na nagsasara ng choke.
In any case maybe a carb overhaul might solve the problem? It's cheaper than a whole carb.

October 14th, 2010 08:20 AM #18hello po. may i had the same case dati sa umaga mababa idling nanginginig then namamatay kapag pa reverse nko, then nainis ako dinala ko sa carb specialist sa may kamuning. PROMISE THIS IS TRUE just go to kamuning. God Bless you all
