i agree on this. additionally, you can set the blower of the aircon to the max then spray lysol sa ilalim ng dashboard while naka bukas yung bintana.

one question though... you mentioned in another post about removing the aircon filter and cleaning it yourself...paano mo po ba ito ginawa?

sir di kopa nagagawa ito sa avanzy so far ayos pa naman ang cooling system ko sa other car na OPTRA & NISSAN Sunny (sentra version sa atin) mostly under compartment ng right passenger ang location ng aircon section. so depende ito sa type ang filter marami kasing klase ito yong iba naka screw under ng fan aircon di hugot gaya ng nasa OPTRA.

procedure well gaya ng nabangit ko simple lang kong bago pa yong filter linisan mo lang yong filter pagpapagin mo muna para maalis yong alikabok kong my vacum vacumin mo then kong sa tingin mo di pa malinis saka mo bugahan ng continous water yong parang shower yong buga para di naman masira kong cardbord type yong filter. then saka mo patuyuin ng hair dryer para tuyo agad medyo layuan mo lang alalay para di masunog yong filter mo then linisan mo rin yong pinaglalagyan ng filter punasan mo rin ng basahan then balik mo na . kong sa tingin mo na dapat ng palitan yong filter saka mo na gawin yong replacement.

procedure well gaya ng nabangit ko simple lang kong bago pa yong filter... pagpapagin mo muna... vacumin mo... then... bugahan ng continous water... then saka mo patuyuin ng hair dryer... then linisan mo rin yong pinaglalagyan ng filter....

O ano, eypeeyu, nasubukan mo na ba? I tried it, pero pagdating dun sa intake grill, wala akong makitang ganun, parang iba ang location, nasa likuran nung box, hindi accessible.

Imbes na grill ang nasa itaas, parang grill na sinaraduhan (parang plastic din).

Ganito ang tumambad sa akin:

Naku, hindi pa brader, pero salamat na rin sa heads-up.
hmmm... so hindi pala posibleng sundan yung nasa Word document.

Updates lang po sa developments sa AC startup smell ko....
Ito ang mga ginawa ko so far...
1. Removed air fresheners (gel and oil based), may itinira lang akong isa, yung organic ba yun? Tignan ko mamaya...
2. Placed a box of Uling inside the car,
3. Leave the air circulation knob open when parked sa bahay. Sinasara ko lang kung gagamitin ko na.
4. Switch off the temperature control and todo ang fan, mga 10 minutes before I turn the engine off (like pagpasok ko sa parking, ini-off ko na yung temp control para matuyo daw yung mga pipings)

Ang resulta... Nawala na yung nakaka-iritang smell... well, to start with hindi naman siya grabe, hindi ko nga naamoy sa front AC, dun lang sa 2nd row lumalabas...

I'll try to observe pa din po...

ganoon ba sir! wala kang post ng picture? iba siguro yong colling system ng avanza sa malaysia but im sure meron yang filter usually under vehicle's dashboard or attached to the glove box. sorry

Sa experience ko...its really the air freshener.

Nag simula yung amoy na natuyong pawis nung first time kong naglagay ng freshner. Inalis ko lang yung freshner and nawala din agad yung smell.

Tingin ko yung vapor or amoy nung freshner, when it gets to the aircon and natuyo gives that smell. Nag-circulate lang naman yung scent ng freshner sa loob ng car.
