August 22nd, 2013 02:05 PM #23Hello guys,
Tulong naman. I have a revo 2004 deisel. nagluluko na regulator. I've read na pwede palitan ang alternator with IC. I'm from Masinag.
Please recommend an auto electrician with in the vicinity, baka sabay ko na rin pa check ang wirings. What kind of alternator po pwede ko gamitin and how much po kaya ang price?
cheers

August 23rd, 2013 11:35 PM #24is the old revo's charging system an electro-mechanical one? they do not charge as well as the newer electronic ones..
the IC or solid-state system is more reliable, especially at lower speeds.
but check mo muna ang alternator. baka brushes lang yan..
there was a time, many years ago, we could buy a surplus alternator for 200 bucks..
just seen a 10th gen cross 200,000 miles on reddit. is this a unicorn or has the cvt been proven...
