Good morning everyone. A few weeks ago while travelling from Cagayan de oro to Valencia, I experience vibrations on the front wheels when I apply brakes at speed of 100-120 km/hr. No vibrations whatsoever when I apply brakes at speed of 60 to 100. Just last week, I went to General santos city, I again experience the same vibrations at speed of 100-140 km/hr. Does anybody out there also experience this same situation? I seldom travel long distance. My odometer reading is 21,000 more. I got my unit March of 2018. Brake pads is still thick.

    Any advise from the gurus?

because i can't think of anything else,
i'd check my tires for out of round-ness. "oblong". sometimes, these tires show themselves at certain speeds only, kasi.

Thanks dr. d. It never pop up out my skull the idea on tire rotation. I'll rotate it today and have it test drive.

Thanks travajante. BTW, how do I checked the rotor disc. Do I have to bring the unit to CASA, and have the rotor disc removed and bring it to a machine shop and have have it checked for any uneven surface? or is there any other way on which I can managed to do it without removing the rotor?

Ask the dealership or shop you frequent if they have a rotor dial gauge.

Pwede rin kuha ka ng ruler tapos yung edge idikit mo sa brake rotors then spin it. Kung may makita ka ilaw na dumadaan sa kanto ng ruler at rotor, yun na yun.

Since practicwlly same sa innova parts ng hilux i think very possible warped disk rotors yan. Common issue ng innova yan kasi

if its under warranty always go to casa. confirm first if its under warranty. open a job order with the problem encountered. describe specifically "vibrations on steering wheel at 100kph braking"

mention that you suspect brake rotors or tires or a steering coupler.

if they accept and open the job order. they will assess the vehicle. during this time you will want to ask if this is commom and what the usual suspects are and how much does it cost.

Try narrowing down to the nearest possible cause, check

wheel balancing, brakes and rotors, tie-rod bushings, suspension and steering alignment and linkages
