Yung Mitsu ASX has a ground clearance of 195mm. It sits lower than the FXT which is around 221mm in ground clearance, the same as most PPVs.

made-in-japan cars may not enjoy the same tax discounts as asean-made cars.

Like the Suzuki-Maruti Swift 1.2 that was sold here before.

I recall a lot of cars sold here before had some kind of raised-suspension (Asian Road Package), this was more obvious in some pre-2000s cars. I recall the local version of this gen Lancer (particularly the early 90s facelift) looked like it was so high off the ground.

    approach and depart angles.
very useful in non-so-civilized roadways and driveways.
like our driveway, as entered from the street.

but government should go out of its way in making relatively less-polluting vehicles more attractive to motorists, i.e., tax breaks.

    i mean,
encouraging the populace to embrace anti-pollution practices...
totally true. here in Japan we hardly see/buy diesels.
in the Phils., it is all opposite that'S why the pollution is way terrible.

    pollution control isn't cheap.
i think the covid has given us the opportunity to see roads with less pollution...
didn't we like what we saw?

    now,
if government goes out of its way to make diesel fuel and diesel vehicles more expensive to use and operate...
bili na siguro tayo ng vvti innova...
