May 21st, 2007 06:06 PM #52true the rav4 is very overpriced and so is the landcruiser. ahhhh CBUs are always taken advantage of. BTW , when i went to singapore they're using JDM corollas (the one with the ford lynx like rear lights) , are those corollas' specs the same as the altis?

Very nice... but I dont think there's much of a "look" upgrade as the new 8th gen civic did with exterior, engine and interior console looks. But I'm looking forward with the NVH improvement they did.. trully toyota's applying their lexus quality traits with their camry's and corrolla's.

nice car!! more agressive look...actually this is the euro model. But my contact back in the west says it received a "median" review back there as compared to other rival compacts such as the western version civic, sentra, lancer, mazda.. etc.

So far, initial reviews form the US and Europe seem to indicate that the new Corolla is merely an evolution of the current one, and not as sophisticated as the Civic and Mazda in terms of suspension tuning and chassis stiffness.
It'll still sell in big numbers, and if it looks good, why not? The current Altis is a decent car, despite its frumpy looks.

The only Corollas I liked were the ones up to 1995ish (after the AE92). After that, anything newer looked bland to me. JMHO...
