Question, pag ba nag ticking sound, nag bi-blink ung ilaw mo? marami possible cause yan ...

its time for me to replace tires (all 4)... have already canvass for specs but I got different answers... some say yes, some no... I was hoping for actual experience

I want my tires (if possible) to be bigger (higher) with stock mags (e model)

stock tires are 185,60,15R... so I was hoping 185,65,15R

One store said its possible w/o rubbing or any issue.... some store tells me its not possible...

    Anyone tried this set up?...

I know its not visually nice, but my car is literally our "workhorse" vehicle for errands, for some rough roads, etc... any clearance will be helpful

    Thanks

when faced with issues, i stick to stock. there is probably a reason why the manufacturer determined what size the tires should be.
sometimes, the answer may be something not easily felt, until some time, maybe months or years, after the switch.

errr... sumayad na ba ilalim ng sasakyan nyo, or are you "thinking ahead"?
kung hindi pa naman sumayad, e... wag na kayong magpalit ng tire size.
    good luck, po.

btw, if the tire circumference changes from stock, it will probably throw off the odometer's and speedometer's readings "a bit". are you willing to live with this?

The car is regularly driven hard by different drivers, including me... I have the usual sayad like entering a driveway w/o caution, humps when car is fully loaded (or over loaded) by kids (other driver is a college kid)

Anyway, I can live with scrapes and scratches as long as car is reliable and mechanically sound.

I just see an opportunity once I change tires... I have done this before with a Nissan Exalta... and I like the effect... boaty in a way ;-) but that was guaranteed by the tire supplier that it wont scrape.

I just want to be sure (if anyone has experience), because I don't like the idea of going back to the Tire supplier and argue if it did scrape.

If I don't get a definitive answer, your very much right, that I will stick to stock.

    Thanks for the reply

I've always bought one size wider tires than stock. Never had a problem with sayad. With my 2012 2nd gen E, I went from 175/65/r14 to 185/65/r14. Feel became a little bouncy. But cornering and comfort improved. And IMHO it looked subtly nicer because of the higher profile.

Actually parang technically he's correct sir. Kasi kung susundin strictly yung 5k kms or every 3mos (standard PMS), technically every year, 20k kms ang dapat itatakbo mo.. And 40k kms ang itatakbo mo on your 2nd year. Pero yun nga, strictly following that condition yun sir..

these are guidelines, po, not laws.
SAs can not "pilit". they can only recommend, and you can always decline. my favorite line is, "wag na muna, bossing. wala sa budget, e".
i'd follow the manual. it's on paper for you to sue with. the SA has only his voice.

and you can be like me and others like me. we interpret the pms on the cheapest cost basis.
