I agree. Ang sagwa tingnan ng kotseng may kits pero stock mags. Looks disproportionate, and lends the impression na kinapos sa pera yung mayari kaya kits lang nabili pero hindi mags.

I'd wager pump inaccuracy / air bubbles. You average out the three "outlier" tanks, and they come out to around 11.7.
That's why you look at the rolling average rather than per tank... especially if you do a lot of trips on one tank... the fuel moving from the tank to the fuel rail and vice versa, depending on hot or cold conditions, will have a big effect on the amount of gas you can put into the tank, too.

I think it's also a matter of the trips you do. Even if all those trips are mixed driving, the level of traffic as well as the actual percentage of city vs highway driving definitely varies.
These are my last 5 fillups:
1. 14.8 km/L (370 km, 90% highway, Makati-NLEX-OG Road (Pampanga)-Roman Highway (Bataan)-QC)
2. 10.9 km/L (182 km, mixed driving, NLEX-SCTEX (Tarlac)-Makati/BGC rush hour)
3. 7.9 km/L (143 km, pure city driving, mostly EDSA/C5)
4. 17.5 km/L (170 km, almost pure highway, SCTEX (Subic) -NLEX - Mindanao Ave)
5. 12.3 km/L (138 km, mixed highway + light Subic traffic)
The trips really vary so it's hard to compare each trip.
Month-long average (over 2000+ km) is 10.92 km/L.

December 21st, 2014 10:38 AM #5868Hi -
I'm sure this has been talked about here somewhere in this 580 plus pages but I just want to check what's with the kalampag issue with this Vios?
We got our Vios 1.3 E AT last 13th of Oct and few weeks after, I started to hear the kalampag at the front right end of the car. My wife brought the car in Toyota Marikina and was told that they will order the parts needed for it. Hindi pa dumadating yung parts, the left one started to show some kalampag na din.
The unit wasn't even at 2000 in odo when I first heard this. Any explanation for this? Also, what parts needed to be replaced.
Any assistance/enlightenment will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
