It's still around for reasons most here can't comprehend nor relate.
-It's for the non-urban purist splurger wheeler who might deem durability & self-serviceability more his needs or its worth than comfort, luxury & all those modern tech nannies.
-It's a proven all-terra tourer(not a luxury SUV) that'll cost much less to run...& run much much longer, farther. Proven by an old bud whose family fleet includes various LCs...100/150/200 & a 30th anniversary rebirth 76(bought way before prices breached 3M new) ..The latter never craved mechanical attention, had the least or even no parts replaced other than upgrades, & takes the least to maintain. It's 1 they'd never mind getting all muddy or wet in...& is never chauffeur-choosy. The carefree-est of the bunch.
-It's for the old school dinos, this cruiser stuck in time. It's for the AndrewSPWs of the world...
Two Land Cruiser Troopcarriers in my Garage. 4xOverland 4x4 truck build - YouTube

-It's the last of its kind(analog, mechanical, w/ the ECU as its lone electronic equipment) one can buy new.

Reasons can go on & on & on. But sadly, Egan bai, sir Stock was right...I'm just trolling.70series: The Cruiser To KeepIt's not for this hobo to even think of owning...however, dreaming & riding shotgun are free. I'll be happy w/ either.70series: The Cruiser To Keep

Kaso 2.4l lang. Makukumpara tuloy sa all-new d-max lt 4x4 na medyo mas mahal pero naka 3.0 4jj3 na hehe.

yeah another funny thing is exactly the same output din sa older lc straight-6 diesel 1hd-fte.

ang nagtataka lang ako sa mga lc200 sa pilipinas. 232hp quoted ng toyota phil sa 1vd compared to 268hp for the rest of the world. ano yun iba lang talaga yun sa atin?
