    Hybrid combo.

    Cvt for cruising
    4AT for loads

Interesting. Technology nga naman. Mukhang hi-tech na hardcore pa rin when needed.

I agree with EQ that Toyota would surely not try to alienate nor disappoint its cult following for the LC... though waiting for a few first mule and reviews when it comes out wouldn't hurt. Just to be safe as they probably sort out a few bugs. [emoji3]

If its revealed in August....probably 12 months before its launched here. So Q3 or Q4 2021. I wonder how long the waiting list of this will be......

    V6 hybrid yung bagong LC

Rumors about the upcoming Land Cruiser being a hybrid isn’t entirely new, and we’ve covered that before. However, bestcarweb.jp reports in detail that the large SUV will reportedly use a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid powertrain which produces 295 horsepower and 356 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the old six-speed automatic transmission will supposedly be dropped in favor of a CVT. Full-time four-wheel drive, however, will be retained.

The torque figure looks weak. Probably only for the gas engine without hybrid assist yet included in the figure.

If that engine is a turbo....for a V6 with that big a displacement, then the torque is really lame.

Possible that's the rating without the electric motor power and torque figures. That V6 power rating is only good for the smaller LC Prado.

The side profile somewhat reminds me of the MUX.

Hybrid Transmission. So torque converter on the first two gears and CVT for the rest?

    That sounds interesting
