Interesting. Technology nga naman. Mukhang hi-tech na hardcore pa rin when needed.
I agree with EQ that Toyota would surely not try to alienate nor disappoint its cult following for the LC... though waiting for a few first mule and reviews when it comes out wouldn't hurt. Just to be safe as they probably sort out a few bugs. [emoji3]

January 22nd, 2020 04:30 PM #24V6 hybrid yung bagong LC
Rumors about the upcoming Land Cruiser being a hybrid isn’t entirely new, and we’ve covered that before. However, bestcarweb.jp reports in detail that the large SUV will reportedly use a 3.5-liter V6 hybrid powertrain which produces 295 horsepower and 356 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the old six-speed automatic transmission will supposedly be dropped in favor of a CVT. Full-time four-wheel drive, however, will be retained.

January 22nd, 2020 04:40 PM #25The torque figure looks weak. Probably only for the gas engine without hybrid assist yet included in the figure.
If that engine is a turbo....for a V6 with that big a displacement, then the torque is really lame.

Hybrid Transmission. So torque converter on the first two gears and CVT for the rest?
That sounds interesting
