Same story with the fx's 2C diesel engine. Sakit sa ulo din. I used to have one too then i sold it.
Now i had a gas revo.

    no problems encountered.
i even found comfort and reassurance from its unique clacking engine idling sound.
well... except for the for-ordinary-bodies driver's seat. i wish they had made it wider and more comfortable.
i am still wondering, bat ko ba siya binentah...

    for timing belts,
i let the expert mechanics in the casa do it for me.
they do it better and faster than me. that's what money is for.

my current 2005 innova diesel is timing belt. i recently had it replaced in the casa, at over 120K km. i didn't want to tempt fate by waiting an additional 20+ K km for the manual-recommended mileage. hindi naman ako nahirapan. iniwan ko, binalikan the next day.
the casa had a timing belt promo at that time. hindi nagkakalayo sa banawe pricing.

apologies for the long history lesson and the trip down memory lane..
    reminiscing.

    Sir dr.d,

Good all days, walang touchscreen cp, more on nokia cp, then busy sa internet explorer pag dating sa YM, este

    Sir thearsenal1205,

    Back to Topic..

Yes, 1st Gen.

2021, same interior, pero upgraded lang yung design at added features...both inside and out..
    Then naging GD engine.

The innova still has the revo's immortality continues to this day. kahit mas marami yung variant ng prdecessor ni innova even the gas engines, revo has two gas engines but the innova has only one gas motor the 1TR-FE replacing the 7K-E and 1RZ-E engines. Unless TMP bring in the 2.7L 2TR-FE in the innova. There will be a possiblity because they discontinued the fortuner gas engine option.

There is also a fortuner 2.5 g 4x2 with the 2KD d4d engine turbo non intercooled diesel engine. Priced around 1.3m in 2005. Although it produces 102hp it is the least powerful engine in fortuner lineup. Kaya mas maraming kumukuha ng 2.7 vvti fortuner gas noon compared to 2.5 d4d. Until the 2.5 vnt intercooler turbo came out.

The 1st gen 2005 innova g has only a driver's side airbag, the rest none.

The hilux 2.7L 4x2 was also an alternative for the 3.0 d4d 4x4. The 2.7L engine lasted from 2005-early 2008. Pinalitan na nila ng less powerful 2.5 d4d (mid 2008) and the gas engine option discontinued. Like the fortuner it also recieved the 2.5 vnt d4d in late 2012.

I remember 6 years ago i was in the 3rd row on the way to cagayan nung nasa hilly roads na kami it's really tagtag. That fortuner was a gas engine the 2.7 vvti. Fuel consumption back and forth was similar to a v8/v6 gas engine.

That's why one of the reasons the updated fortuner axed the gas engine. They had now all GD engine in the range.

    Hilux 4x2 2.8 does 9 seconds
Prado 4x4 2.8 does 9.9 Seconds (extra heavy)
    Q 4x2 2.8 will probably do low 9s?

It'd probably emissions related rather than market and it probably not sell well due to poor fuel economy (supposedly the 2.7 2TR in the Gen 1 innova barely gets better than 8km/L the South African equivalent to the Revo(Condor) achives with a larger 2.4 2RZ-E it'd probably do worse with manila traffic.

I was looking at their latest brochure.

I love the Rear and front ng TOTL Fort....though ewan ko if ako lang, parang napansin ko nagkopyahan mga car designer ng Headlight theme....kamukha sya ni Coolray Geely and Ford Territory.
