Hi Folks. Anyone here installed a remote start engine in the keyfob of their Innovas? I believe this can be done in an Altis not sure sa Innova.

in an interview some time ago with the designer, he said that they recycled the steering gear of the old innova.
i have a 2005 innova; manibela is light. i also have a 2012 innova; manibela is heavier. ???

We also had a 2005, 2009, 2012 and 2017... I think the strering of 2017 is lighter than the most. 2nd is 2012 then 2009 lastly is 2005... minsan pag mabigat yung manubela. Pinapacheck ko yung tire pressure. Pag pantay na lahat at nasa correct pressure na. Magaan na uli siya.

Hindi ko sure sa lumang Innova pero our 2016 Innova E A/T is getting 7.05km/liter. Unit is used nearly 100% city driving with up and and down parking at ECO Mode. Not sure if this is an accurate calculation since I got full tank sa Petron in Makati then full tank again sa Shell in San Juan. For it to be more accurate, I think I have to fill up in the same gas station using the same fuel. Minsan iba iba kasi ang calibration ng mga pump.

Pero according to the Dash Board FC reader while steadily cruising at 100km/h and with full passengers on skyway, it read 10.1l/100kms or 9.90kms/liter using NORMAL mode.

My cousin who has the J model achieves 12kms/liter+ pure city driving.

I'm thinking baka kulang pa sa break in ang unit before we see realistic figures after 1K PMS parang explorer namin. Or si Mr. Driver ay heavy footed.

While I'm happy with the engine performance, I also felt some slight shift shock when accelerating from 0-40kph.

Pure City Driving ECO mode na. Di ako masyado natratraffic, 7.63 km/L Manual 2.8L Diesel G variant
Aircon at 25°C. Odo 500km palang.

Is the inova power steering hydraulic or electric assist?

the new innova's steering is still traditional hydraulic. it's the same design as the 2005's.
if ever there is a palpable change in its lightness or heaviness, it's probably, in my opinion, because of manufacturing tolerances and wear and tear, and other conditions like vehicle weight, tire type and pressure, road surface, and driver's opinion.

You can try Winterpine along Araneta Ave. for the alarm and rear cam, since sila supplier ng mga accessories sa Toyota (I heard that warranty is not voided if through them).

Kung cheaper alternative, try Import Elementz, katabi lang din ng Winterpine ito. This is where I had my rear cam and sensors installed sa Fort ko.

i don't fill to the brim. maybe an inch below it.
baka tumapon pag matagtag ang daan.

Ask ko lang kng talagang nauubos ang wiper washer water kahit hindi nagagamit.. Kakukuha ko lng kasi ng Innova 2.8G at napansin nmin na palaging nauubos ang tubig khit na hindi nagagamit yung tubig dahil ndi nmn maulan habang ginagamit namin.
