I read somewhere the new fort is slightly heavier than the old one.

Kung ganun, FC should be slightly less than the old fort. Expect 5-6KM/L in traffic conditions.

If you're on the highway most of the time, the gas fort isn't so bad.

Ewan. That's enough though.

To answer your question, the previous fortuner already had the same 2.7l vvti engine, although paired siya sa a/t na 4-speed lang kaya apektado talaga ang fuel consumption. I've heard though that this engine is lethargic on the fortuner, like on full stops, which might be a given since mabigat din kasi ang suv eh. Pero since may power mode na ang new 6-speed a/t, maybe kaya nang ma-offset yun at eco mode naman para maging frugal sa fuel. So, mas matipid na siguro sa gas itong latest model.

Probably 80% on the hi-way at 60-80kph and 20% crawling in the traffic city road... it’s not that bad for gas version din pala... [emoji16]

i can't imagine someone changing his choice of car, just because of a missing spare tire cover.
    apparently, neither does toyota.
    hence, "no spare tire cover".
    casa certainly knows its market.

as i said in the other thread, "one can get away with many things, if one is at top".
