I would recommend going to Zee, tapos ipa-test drive mo, I can assure you, competent sila (or yung naging mechanic ko doon na isa).

July 8th, 2010 06:36 PM #33i have a 2006 vios 1.3e and its odo reading just hit 15k. sa casa ang PMS nya lagi and never pa na replace ng brake pads. lumubog sa baha for 2 days nung ondoy. bumalik naman nang maayos pero ang problema eh naka ilaw yung check engine. i am planning to bring it to the casa for its 15k pms at isasabay ko na rin yung pag check sa check engine chorva. running smoothly, mabilis at maliksi pa rin ang takbo nya. kaso nakakatakot i byahe ng malayo at baka kung saan pa ko itirik. hanggang ngayon di ko pa nilalagyan uli ng radyo at baka bumaha na naman dito sa amin at malunod na naman sya

July 9th, 2010 09:45 PM #36i once drove all over the city after a brake job. come nightfall, it was the first time i saw a dull red, glowing wheel assembly. but hey! i simply allowed them to cool, readjusted the brake, and drove off. but it was a stunning experience. air cooled VW..
your experience, my guesses: 1. your metal surfaces are imperfect and are sandpapering the pads. but this will probably result in only one set of pad wear. 2. if all four wheels experience premature pad wear, then the only explanation is.... excessive use. 3. if only the rear wheels are affected, then it must be the "driving with the handbrake engaged" syndrome.
good luck.
Without more context like when was the last time these items were serviced/replaced, it's hard to...
