Remains to be seen. On-paper specs are one thing, real-world performance is another. Which is why a "mere" '135 hp' Focus is faster than the '150 hp' gasoline compacts in its class... both in terms of instrumented tests and actual on-road overtaking ability.

And the Altis 3ZR is 155 hp. It's actually 158 PS, which is not the same thing. In other words, similar to the Civic... which, from dynos, appears to make closer to 160 hp in real life than 150.

The 7 speed transmission is most likely a CVT, just like the Lancer's, with virtual gears instead of mechanical ones. While these are very responsive, I'm not quite sold on their ability to put power to the ground.

Abangan nalang natin ang launch nyan sa Thailand dahil dun galing ang Corolla Altis na dinadala rito.. November 2010 daw yan lalabas dito sa Pinas..

Sana nga ilabas nila yang 1.8 Liter Dual VVT-I na 2010 Corolla Altis imbes na nagtitiis tayo sa lumang 1.6 Liter VVT-I engine na mura nga at matipid sa gas pero ang hina naman.
