August 6th, 2020 03:03 PM #1Hello po, good afternoon. I'm planning to buy a 2004 or a 2005 toyota rav4 po.
yung mga locally released units po ba dito sa philippines ay may safety features like VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL/TRACTION CONTROL, ABS and EBD?
I just want to make sure po since yun po ang habol ko sa pagbili maliban sa specs na gusto ko
Thank you guys and God bless

Only the 4x4 Gen 2 models have ABS+EBD but no VSC/TRC both get airbags though

Traction control and stability control will come handy if you drive aggressively in corners or like to launch the car quickly from a stop. If you drive in a tame manner, then you will be all right with no traction control and stability control. ABS is a much more important safety feature and also seatbelts.

Well, they are nice-to-haves for the regular driver.

August 7th, 2020 04:48 PM #9Might be same with the 2.4L front wheel drive rav4.
AWD rav4 has lower mpg than 2WD.

August 7th, 2020 04:56 PM #10TMP is well known to be stripping out features of cars and trucks here. Unlike in other countries.
Like for example the head unit of innova/hilux/fortuner. Still using an AVT head unit instead of toyota head unit used in other countries.
While now some of their models has reduced stripping some of the features. Unlike the past.
Like the current rav4, still has some features stripped but they still kept the vsc/trc since the previous gen.
