December 10th, 2014 04:51 PM #1Good day to everyone!
Newbie lang po sa cars. Please help me find an spare "engine RPM pickup coil" for my 1994 Corolla. This pickup coil is located inside the distributor pati din ang ignition coil. This pickup coil test ok when cold (resistance test using multimeter) but is "open" when hot. So, nag-i-start fine ang car and run for 15-20 minutes at nag-i-stall pag uminit na. Have to wait for 20 minutes or so before the engine start again. Saang surplus store po ba makakabili nito? Nabibili ba ito na coil lang o kasama ang housing ng distributor? Medyo mahirap kalasin ang coil sa distributor..
Maraming thank you in advance mga sirs!

December 11th, 2014 12:43 PM #2i am not a car expert, but i think what you just described is the pickup coil para sa cdi. Dito sa amin marami ang surplus assembly. Price is 3k for the whole assy thats why its expensive. Dapat car electrician/mechanic ang gagawa niyan dahil critical ang timing adjustment. Toyota pa, naparaming surplus stores.

December 11th, 2014 03:56 PM #3Thanks pyramid00 for replying my post. Here's what I'm refering as "engine RPM pickup coil or sensor".. na-search ko lang sir from internet.
Kung meron kayo sir nito, can you please post here a picture of the one you're refering to so that I can confirm it kung yon nga ang hinahanap ko, or better yet, please give me your store location para makapunta ako. I need to fix our car, the only service vehicle for (school and office) of our family.
Ano sir yong "cdi"?
Thanks.
