    yung tire size ko is 225/40/r18. meron kaya niyan sa formula 901?

    may bukol kasi yung isa kong gulong. Ano kaya magandang ipalit?

    nasasayngan kao pag nagkabukol pa yung 702, yung formula 901 kasi ng friend ko d pa nabubukol kahit nalulubak a niya.

    same design ba yung look ng 901 chaka 702 in terms of side wall?

    sorry daming tanong... hehehehe!!!

    Is your stock tire's 195/55R15?? If so ... the correct tire size should be:

    17" = 205/40 17
    18" = 195/35 18 or 205/35 18 :mrgreen:

    Here's a tire size calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

    camry stock is 205/65R15. 225/40R18 seems right on the money. some people are able to fit tires as wide as 245mm.

    i've had FM901s and LM701s before. sidewall better on the FM901s, but still a bit soft for my taste. i rather liked the sidewall construction of the higher-end yokohamas. anything that starts with an "A" is usually a safe choice.

    splerdu,
    actually, the 225/40R18, although quite a good match accdg to the tire size calculator, is too short and narrow. I've tried on the 225/45R18 and i still found it to be quite short and narrow. Perhaps due in part to my comfort with the 225/50R17's looks, height and width. 225/40R18 should fit, and perhaps 225/45R18 (if only dunlop phils made them). might stick with the 17s i have now. thanks for insights

    FLiPMaRC,
    stock size for the camry, as splerdu pointed out, is 205/65R15. that's the thing with the tire size calculator though, it gives you a good idea as to what prospective wheel and tire size combinations you can have, but nothing beats the actual fitting on the car itself. for example, 205/65R15 should be perfect for 215/50R17, but when placed on the car, it looked small, which is why 225/50R17s worked better.

    Conrad,
    alam ko meron yung dunlop ng size na yan, but m not sure if it was for the LM702 or the FM901. you can try inquiring at freddie's tire supply (750-4601). IMO, the sidewall of the FM901 looks meaner than that of the LM702. both, however, have the sidewall protector. teka, with such a low profile, would sidewall design still be so different?

    The purpose of the Tire Size Calculator is to keep the stock wheel/tire size so your speedometer and odometer doesn't get messed up. Lower profile tires will definitely make it look smaller. But if you're just going for looks, then there's no point in using the calculator :mrgreen: :wink: Most people I know just drops their car to compensate for the extra wheel well space :mrgreen:

    Conrad,
    That's true, the sidewall of the FM appears to be broader. I haven't seen them on 45 series tires yet tho, coz the FMs of my friend were 50 series. Anyway, it's best to take a look at them first to make sure.

    FLiPMaRC,
    Come to think of it, i kinda missed the real point of using the calculator, huh? Hehehe. But actually, it still serves a purpose, even if you're just going for looks. It does help get you approximately the right size of tires.
