Kudos to the bus company, Victory Liner, for having their buses turn on their headlights even on broad daylight.

Napansin ko most of their buses has an all weather or yellow fog lamp
being on during morning dispatch / returns.

Add: Victory Liner depot along J. Juan Luna St. SFDM is only few blocks
from our place. Lagi ko sinisilip ang loob during dispatching and you can
easily notice the cleanliness. They also have their own Shell pump inside.

Sorry, I'm at a loss here...ano po yung significance ng pagbukas ng headlight during broad daylight?

Being a people carrier, this is a safety feature in that they can easily be seen when approaching.

Malayo pa lang, like in a highway, kita na yung bus. I tried it when I went to Tagaytay in our Jazz. Agad agad people were telling me my lights were on, I gestured na alam ko.

You should see the Porsches and the Muscle Cars inside the depot!

In North America, they call these Daytime Running Lamps (DRL). It is a safety feature because the tendency is, you get to notice a vehicle if the lights are open.

My car (2006 RAV4) has DRL's (daytime running lights) and I use it.....nakasanayan na when I was driving in the US eh. It's a requirement for all cars in Canada to use their headlights at all times of the day. Kahit sa US, they're required to keep their headlights on one hour after sunrise and one hour before sunset.

Pero in fairness, courteous on the road mga drivers nila. Madalas ako sa north and talagang behave sila aside from well-maintained mga buses nila like complete at gumagana lahat ng lights, pati yung officemate ko na umuuwi ng Gapo every week, malakas daw talaga aircon nila kahit tanghaling tapat giginawin ka.

Yes, safe nga din yung headlights-on features especially on the provincial highways.

Maybe you should also try their deluxe bus service going to Baguio (by specific times only). The seats are wider (and more comfortable), there is onboard snack bar and toilet (no more stop overs) but the fare difference is not really that big compared to the regular air con ride. (P 550 as against P 395).

But in general, I agree that their buses are well maintained and clean.

noticed that they started using their headlights at daytime after one of their bus had swept one house along the Marcos Hiway (now Jose Aspiras hiway) last year. tinapalan nga ng putik yung pangalan na victory liner para di makilala.
pero dito lang kami sumasakay whenever we commute from baguio to manila because of more trips, cleaner bus and their courteous drivers/conductors.

Wala bang cases ng holdup on their Baguio routes? Nakaka worry kasi when they pick up passengers along the road specially on their night or early morning trips.

Meron din silang fleets going to Cagayan (Tuguegarao/Cauayan/Santiago). Also, yung luxury coach nila has 3-single detached reclineable seat in each row kaya comfortable. AFAIK, Partas & Philtranco also has this deluxe options.

Checkout site nila for more info/details:
