I would just like to point out something which makes alot of people infuriated with the oil companies.
So here. Let's keep using your cellphone analogy...
BATCH 1 (6,000 selling price): 5 cellphones, bought at 5,000 each
-Expected profit margin per phone sold: 1,000 pesos.
*you sell three, and there are two phones remaining in stock.
BATCH 2 (6,500 selling price): 5 cellphones, bought at 5,500 each
-margins per phone sold: 1,000 pesos
2 cellphones from batch 1 (bought at 5000 each)
Ayan. Let's keep it cool, please. No point in losing our tempers.
sir archie: Petron is at most, 40% government owned. There are circulating rumors that there might actually be a selloff. But this doesn't matter anymore, since Petron, which should have been the government's tool in indirectly influencing the price of petroleum and protecting the interests of the filipino people, is now as profit-oriented as its two "competitors".

^^ IMO, tama... hindi instant yung up or down ng prices... thats why the oil companies pa piso piso per week increase/decrease nila.
with petron, yep nothing more we can do... point lang is any company will protect its own revenue. either multinational, local, etc.

if u read my posts, i never lost my temper. ung iba ang nag lose ng temper.
meron dalawa o tatlo jan mainit ang ulo sakin.
anyway back to topic:
Yes i understand.
Pwede naman ibenta sa old price ang old batch of cellphones.
But the logical choice is still to raise the price of the old batch...
keep in mind that the P1,500 profit margin is not clean profit.
Part of the profit becomes puhunan again to be used to buy the more expensive batch.
i'm sure if u are the businessman selling cellphones, u would do the same thing.Last edited by uls; October 25th, 2008 at 11:56 AM.

If businesses operated out of compassion, there would be no businesses left.
If a drug company operated out of compassion, then it shouldnt be charging hundreds of thousands of pesos for cancer drugs.
If companies operated like that, they wouldnt last very long.
Then there would be no more companies making cancer drugs.Last edited by uls; October 25th, 2008 at 04:04 PM.

Is that it?
all this posting and flame baiting is just for a 5 - 7 pesos?
mag Sun SIM kayo.
Just examine your lifestyles...
Last edited by uls; October 25th, 2008 at 05:15 PM.
