Green Bag

Just found out about this yesterday:


Early this month, SM Cares & Unilever have launched their joint project called "GREEN BAG".

The green bag is given free of charge to all SM Advantage members for a purchase worth P500, inclusive of a Unilever product. The bag if used/reused in their next shopping for groceries, 2 reward points shall be credited to the member.

This project aims to minimize, if not eliminate, the use of plastic bags.


2 thumps up for SM & Unilever for this wonderful project for the environment.

gandang idea ito. actually sa ireland this is what they are using. they encourage people to use this kind of bag para hindi na dumami mga plastic bags nila which will cause pollution dahil nga non biodegradable material mga plastics. Infact sa mga grocery shops nila they sell their plastic bags for around 5 cents (euro).

Pansin ko parang walang gumagamit nito, though we tried to claim ours last week out of stock pa daw!

This is a good move to at least eliminate or lessen the plastic shopping bags...

Sana some companies would follow like other dept stores, groceries and fast foods, eto pa naman mga grupong ito malaking contributor sa plastic wastes...

Hindi ba sa MAKRO wala nang plastic bag? Wala nga ata talagang supot ang goods doon. hehehe. Kaya talagang kailangan mo i-cart papunta sa sasakyan.

meron plastic bag sa makro mga papi.. may bayad nga lang.. syempre pa, additional income.. i think..

3 na ang green bags ko at nakakakuha pa ako ng maraming points.. 6 points agad iyon plus points pa dun sa groceries ko every week. Bawing bawi ko na nga ang binayad ko sa SM Advantage card.

May mga pagkakataon na binibigyan kami nito pag naggo-grocery kami sa SM Hypermart in MoA a few weeks ago.... May mangilan-ngilan na rin siguro kami nito.... And then, lately, actually last week, sabi ni wifey,- ibinebenta na raw ang mga ito.....

meron din ganito ang shopwise. you have to pay for this green bag for Php 99.00 and you also get 2 points dun sa maga item na ilalagay mo sa loob ng bag. so dapat yung mga mamahalin lang yung ilalagay mo para sulit. this will run for only a year.

Ilang beses na kaming nagpupunta sa SM (North EDSA & Fairview) recently, pero wala na kaming napapansin na green bag na puwedeng bilhin. Actually, wala rin kaming nakitang shoppers using that green bag. Di kaya tapos na yung promo nila or discontinued na?

Yeah..its P35 bucks na. Parts of the proceeds daw will go to SM Foundation. Its available sa mga counters/cashiers booth mismo.

35 ang isa.. sulet pa rin well sa akin sulit kasi every week ako nag gogrocery sa SM. Madaling mabawi yan pag sa SM ka lagi nag gogrocery.
