lahat ba ng states standard ang DRL? The real DRL?
when I say automatically pati tail lights naka ilaw na din.Last edited by froshie1; February 21st, 2008 at 12:22 AM.

Meron ding ibang kotse na may pseudo-on/off switch sa DRL. Di ko lang sigurado kung straight from the manufacturer yon o modficiation na ng owner.

Daytime running lights are not necessary here.
However it's good practice to turn on your headlights at dipped beam in advance when you're anticipating darkening of your area. That includes entering tunnels and the sort of rain where you have to get out of the intermittent wiper speed setting.

I also drive with my headlamps on. Studies have already proven that the increased visibility can reduce the potential for accidents. That's why in some bridge crossings in the U.S., there is a 'Headlamps on for Safey' sign as you approach. Besides wala namang dagdag sa electric bill or fuel consumption.
As for the taillamp issues, I have a third brakelamp and all my taillamps are functioning.
The first DRLs were high beams not running on full voltage. Some newer systems use a bright amber lamp (mostly GM vehicles).
DRL's are not mandatory in the U.S. They are mandatory in Canada and Sweden.
Volvos can be set to run DRL's with a turn of a screwdriver. However, I still prefer turning the lights on manually.

Actually some cars w/ DRL can be turned off like the Camry. If you put it in auto it will toggle between DRL and Lowbeam.
It is not the low beam itself but another set of very low wattage lightbulbs.
Tama ka diyan sir OTEP. It is also a common practice that you turn your headlights on when using your wipers.

Kung okey naman ang visibility sa paligid, what's the point of having them on?

Ako I turn my headlights starting 5:30pm or if it's raining and everytime I'm inside a covered parking lot irregardless of the time.
this is my biggest complain with EVs... the whole vehicle will be disposed later. no one wants...
