Both our cars have DRLs switched on all the time for safety. During periods of low visibility the automatic headlights switch on regardless time of day.

Guys gumagana ba yung cheat code for mazda2v skyactive? Gus2 ko ioff ung drl nya sagwa kasi buti sana kung led, dami kaya sumesenyas akala bukas headlights ni mazda., saka aksaya rin sa gas :/
if i may sermonize..
"it's not for you. it's for the other motorist. better to be winked at, than to be whacked at!"
Share lang. My OEM type LED DRL installed below the foglight. They are connected to a Multi-function Automatic LED DRL controller. The controller can be used with any set of LED DRLs.
When engine is switched on, the DRL will auto on. When headlight is on (night time), the DRL will reduce brightness to 50%. When engine is switched off, the DRL will stay on for 20 seconds before it auto off. When left/right turn signal is on, the corresponding left/right DRL will flash in sync with turn signal while the opposite DRL will turn off. When you use the car horn, the DRL will flash in strobe mode.
You can select which functions to enable by connecting the corresponding wires.

The controller is P1,500. Installation of DRL and controller is P500.
Price of LED DRL depends on the model you get. There are Universal type and OEM type. Universal type can be used for any vechicle. OEM types are fit to specific car models.
If Universal type, you can buy for as low as P500+ in OLX. The OEM type for the ASX is P3,500.

When i drove to LV from LA, lahat ng kasalubong ko sa 4-lane highway, naka DRL na. Imagine that was 2010 pa. Sobrang late na implement dito

May effect naman talaga as per this study:
Does DRL have any disadvantages?
The use of D
RL increases
fuel
consumption.
Obviously, when the lights are switched on, a bigger load
is placed on the dynamo.
A fuel
-efficient car using 6.7 litres per 100 km (1:15) with
DRL
using dipped headlights has an extra fuel
consumption of 3%.https://www.swov.nl/rapport/Factsheets/UK/FS_DRL.pdfDRL's
negative consequences, which are
a higher fuel consumption and -
consequently
- larger
CO
2
emissions,
are
limited
considerably
by using energy
-efficient
lamps.
Pag may araw ang FC ng crv ko 7km/l
Pag gsbi 6kn/l
Baka may effect pag bukas Ang ilaw sa fuel consumption

Haluan natin ng math para mas realistic.
Typical DRL power consumption is 15watts for Halogen and 10watts for LED type. So 2x? 30watts and 20watts on average, respectively.
For sake of argument and justification, gamitin na natin highest value which is the 15watts per bulb, 30watts total.
Solving for I(current) = Power(watts) ÷ voltage(car voltage is 12v constant)
So current consumption for pair of Halogen type DRL is only freaking 2.5amps!
For our reference amd comparison, same lang ito or higher load pa nga sa pag charge mo ng iyong Iphone/Ipad/power bank/laptop/tablet/vape(2-5A each), or pag gamit mo ng car radio(5-10A) with boom boom pow sounds, garmim GPS(2A), pag gamit mo ng dash cam(3-5A) at kung anu anu pang abubot mo na kinacharge mo sa oto.
Typicall family sedan nowadays is rated 110HP or say 75000watts of mechanical power. 30/75000x100= 0.04% lang ang power drop.
Gusto nyo ba makatipid??? Baka mas makakatipid ka pa ng consumo kung mas manipis na medyas na lang susuutin mo para mas magaan paa mo sa gas pedal. or wag ka na lang mag brief.. -300grams weight reduction bro! LOL![]()
