thumbs up to my fellow drivers w/ open foglights or low bright headlights
during daytime,,whatever weather condition,,public road of edsa,c5, public eskinitas, (except subdvsion, ok lang kahit nka off na) etc...
i know rider din kayo...kahit konti lang tayo na nagddrive with DRL.,

most new motorcycles today walang switch yung headlights,
yung iba pinapalagyan,,they didnt know the importance of DRL..
most new luxury cars din po pala may DRL na..

wala pa yatang thread about DRL so i create this one..
yung kapitbahay kasi namin tinatanong ako kung bakit ko ino- on headlight ng auto at motor ko kahit umaga,,and the rest is history

pati yung mrt nka DRL din

i don't see people turning their lights on (kahit parking lights) pag maliwanag pa.. siguro kung meron man.. eh napaka konti.. wala pa sigurong 1%

i'm not saying we shouldnt.. i'm just saying it's not normal here on our roads to have your lights on pag maliwanag pa..

para mas visible....I think sa Canada required na ito by law...hinde lang ako sure sa US, but when I was there I've seen cars sa freeway na meron mga DRL, in fact my cousin's car that he lend me is meron ng DRL...

I give extra room to riders who turn on their lights in the morning

Some US states require DRLs sa motorcycles.

Sa mga MC palagay ko kailangan for their own safety lalo’t karamihan sa kanila eh parang ahas kung sumulpot, kaliwa’t kanan kaya kahit katanghalian magugulat ka na lang

ako, i would like to add those LED-type aux lamp para pansinin nga ng other drivers..but nakakainis lang yung mga nagtitinda--they keep on signaling you na buhay ilaw mo--di nga naman nila alam purpose nun..

i think the unwritten rule is if you need to use your wipers, you're supposed to turn on your parking lights too. the logic behind that is added visibility in hazy and wet weather

in new motorcycles, even those in underbones, i've been told that DRLs are now standard equiptment. the problem is a lot of moto riders install a cut-off switch not knowing any better. it's too bad they just realize its import when they're already kissing the pavement after an avoidable accident

I turn on my headlights (low beam) kahit daytime everytime I do a long drive to the provice.

I notice pedestrians or on-coming traffic react faster to the light compared to blowing the horn. Kahit malayo palang napapansin na nila yung kotse na nakabukas yung headlight giving them more time to react.

    Your right........
Everytime & used my car the DRL is always on.........even at 12noon, nakasanayan kona..........Akala ko, ako lang ang gumagamit nito sa Pinas, even the Military vehicles they used their HL on when they travelled across the province.

I know a guy who always drives with DRL. Naka-specify kasi sa insurance policy nya, they give slightly lower premiums if you agree to always drive with DRL.
