January 14th, 2020 01:49 PM #3132Hello fellow Jimny owners,
Hoping you can suggest a practical solution...
my 2011 Jimny is leaking steering fluid. Medyo malakas ang tagas; have to top off after every use.
The casa's solution (Suzuki East Ave) is to replace the steering gear box assembly at a cost of P70,210. Plus P4+K labor charge. Plus a 45-day wait for the part to be ordered from Japan, and a large downpayment.
Do I have any reasonably-priced options? Repair kit? Specialty repair shop?
Thanks in advance for your help/info.
Sincerely,
Jaime Gonzalez

November 21st, 2020 10:47 AM #3134Hi fellow Jimny owners, maybe you can help confirm. CASA is claiming that Jimnys (mine is 2017 model not the new one) have no aircon filter. May abang lang daw. So they recommend magkakabit daw sila aircon filter . Just wanted to know if its true that Jimny indeed had no aircon filter before. Thanks

November 21st, 2020 10:55 AM #3135this is certainly not suzuki-related, but
my first gen innova did not have one, either.
the local aircon man in banawe cut a window on the plastic housing, so's i can place in it the air filter element.
i hope yours already has this window, so's you do not have to cut to make one.

November 21st, 2020 11:00 AM #3136Thanks Dr. D.. I thought all cars nowadays have an aircon filter and casa was trying to pull one of me.
May abang naman na daw.. I guess I'll have it installed then.. I think its better to have one than not have one

May 11th, 2021 09:55 PM #3137Yes, Suzuki PH has switched to Indian-made Jimny
Suzuki Philippines has now officially made the switch: their popular mini 4x4 model, the Jimny, will no longer be sourced from Japan. Instead, Philippine-market Jimny units will now come from India. It was confirmed to us by a senior representative of Suzuki Philippines after Indian-made Jimny units started appearing at Suzuki dealers all over the country.

If you have a pinging/knocking M-engined Suzuki, check your knock sensor on the block under the intake manifold, between the alternator & the starter. Chances are the resin cover is gone.
One might easily be tempted w/ cheap replacements, but only use GENUINE for this sensor.
On a JB43, this can only be accessed by removing the flexible intake hose & the alternator....way easier & simpler than the shop manual way of taking the intake manifold off, requiring new gaskets.
