June 19th, 2016 11:40 PM #2581I need you suggestions & opinions as well as pros & cons. Got a brand new Jimny, it'll be used mostly on city roads & hiways. I'm thinking of putting a steel front & rear bumpers with tow hitch receiver & step boards. My other side of me says, I have to make a 2" ome lift with tire upgrade of 235.75.15 retaining the original rims. However, the other personality says don't lift it, just put 215.75.15 tires with the original rims. You thoughts please. I'm turn[emoji19]

If you dont do off-road driving often, you dont need those upgrades IMO. It will just add weight to your jimny and increase FC. Increasing tire diameter would improve the looks though.

June 20th, 2016 09:29 AM #2583'daming pasaway at abusado sa kalye! If they think you're small they don't care about you, they'll bully you..at least I have a protection..[emoji34] some times i'll be used to traverse roads less traveled due to the nature of my job. and of course the hitch receiver will be used to carry my bike on weekends..[emoji58]

June 20th, 2016 10:18 AM #2585Hehe I hate pasaways, that's why I follow traffic rules & good driving manners as well as etiquettes. I'm not a coņo on & off road..just want a protection from those assholes in the streets..even my two suvs has steel front bumpers except the v8. Thanks for the reminder [emoji106]
As for the jimny, my dilemma is whether to lift 2" & slap it with 235.75.15 or use 215.75.15 instead[emoji19] pogi pag naka lift kaya lang baka maging bansot kung smaller tires at maging wobbly in the long stretch especially past 80kph ang speed? Thanks

June 20th, 2016 12:10 PM #2587cb, baka mabansot tingnan pag maiwan 'yong wheels if it's lifted. i haven't seen a jimny in steel bumpers with a lift using 205.70.15, mostly 235.75.15. but i've seen units in 215.75.15 forms but not with steel bumpers. as i mentioned earlier this unit will not be trailed hard core, but mostly city & hiways use & for the simple reason of having a protection sa daming pasaway sa kalye.
my concerns if it's lifted 2" with 235.75.15 tires are:
1. might affect & limit the speed in hiways as well as the gear ratio?;
2. start off as you might call it (arangkada);
3. death wobbles though (can be corrected thru steering damper?);
4. fuel consumption is not much concern but would be happy if it wouldn't sipped fuel like a thirsty athlete..hehe

If that's the case, then hindi rin pala lahat ng nakaka-afford sa kanila ay hindi frugal mag-isip...
