    Hi Guys,

For those who got their Jimnys B/N, do we need to break-in our new engines?
Is there a proper way of doing it specifically for the Jimny. I feel the Jimny
can rev happily to the red line.

    Thanks

Oops. Saw it in the manual already. But I won't mind an additional tip :-).

Ive forgotten what was in the manual, but what I did was max out at 3000rpm (and no more than that) for the first 1000kms.

Hi Dirtdiver. That's also what I'm doing. 3000 RPM is my redline. I feel it's starting to loosen up now. Medjo magaan ng humatak. I'm really enjoying this "little" thing :-).

There is a lockable nut (with key) available from car accessory shops. The brand I got was Fujimoto or something like that. There are 2-3 diff. models. Just ask for what will fit the Jimny; I think it is the same one as for the Nissan. Medyo mahal lang at P700+. You will still be able to put back the plastic wheel cover.

Beats losing a wheel and tire.

hi guys, naudlot yung pagkuha ko ng jimny a couple of months ago, pero ngayon may go signal na ulit..kaso nakita ko naman yung sx4. pero 1st love ko pa din yung jimny. hahaha..sa tingin nyo ba mas best buy itong jimny than tha sx4 crossover? price diff is 50k, engine wise naman 1.6L yung and obviously mas spacious sha... lets not mention the jimny's 4x4 capabilities kasi hindi ko din naman magagamit yun.. gagawin lang service sa school(1 kid lang). ang gamit ko kasi ngayon is monterosport, feeling ko hindi efficient kasi dalawa lang kami tapos ang laki ng sasakyan namin. tia!

It was a toss up between the Jimny and the Swift 5 years ago. I like them both then but the Swift won. Fast forward 5 years, I now have a brand new Jimny. Though it's just a 1.3L engine I am enjoying it more. If I could just turn back the hands of time, I would have enjoyed my JImny sooner :-).

One outstanding rant about the SX4 is the blind spot on the front quarter glass (the A pillar yata sa technical terms). I remember reading a post about a member's experience with his SX4 almost hitting a pedestrian one night due to this flaw. I liked the SX4 too but I'm glad I chose the jimny.
