Tulungan nyo naman ako magdecide.....gusto ko pero nagdadalawang isip pa din ako eh...

after almost 4 years of driving an AUV...here come a chance to own a car. kaso very few lang ang na-release dito sa pinas and i think hindi locally assemble.

suzuki esteem glx automatic wagon '97 (200K)
50km reading, all power
original paint with minor scratches. may isang dent (hindi halata)
all 4 shocks were replaced last year. new tires. bagong renew pa lang yung comprehensive insurance

problem: water leak on radiator top
replacement from casa (AutoWorld-Shaw) P20K, hindi pa kasama labor
found an auto supply selling orig radiator at P17K
found a radiator shop along makati na may replacement daw sya for esteem (all copper na) at 6K

what worry me is the maintenance. sobrang mahal ng spare parts and not all are readily available sa auto supply. baka after 2 or 3 years ay wala ng parts na mabili.

hard earned money and i want to make sure sa bibilhin ko...nasa huli kc ang pagsisisi palagi diba? wala naman akong mapagtanungan na may esteem dito aside from roydok (tama ba?).

I think pwede pa akong humingi ng discount ...kung maibaba ko kaya ng 150K ok na kaya...? Good buy na ba? madali bang ibenta kung mahirapan ako sa maintenance...?

Eto pa ...lalong pinagulo ang utak ko...sabi ng isa ko pang boss na balak nyang magpalit ng sasakyan (car plan kc) early next year, tapos benta na lang daw sa akin yung 99 Civic SIR nya... shieet....SIR?

ano ang gagawin ko? get the esteem and never mind the SIR or....hintayin ko SIR? pero magkano kaya ang market value ng SIR considering next year pa bebenta...sayang naman kc kung hintayin ko SIR tapos hindi ko naman kaya yung price...parehong nawala pa sila ng esteem :cry: ...

Well, that is indeed a hard decision. The Suzuki Esteem you described is a very tempting choice with its relatively low mileage and good maintenance history, but the SiR is also hard to pass. But remember your boss is still not yet sure if he'll buy a new car next year which means passing the SiR to you sir. Also the SiR price though resale would still be above the Suzuki. Parts aside at least Suzuki still maintains dealership support in the Phils. I would suggest that you get the one most achievable of the two...Suzuki Esteem. :D

Iniisip ko nga na hindi naman cguro baba sa 300K ung 99 SIR kaya huwag ko ng pag intrisan.

Baka Esteem na nga lang...pero nagpapalakas pa ako ng loob :roll: at at humihingi pa din ng advise sa inyo at sa iba kong friend... tinatanong na nga ako kung magkano ang tawad ko eh... pero di pa ako tumatawad until i'm decided na...syanga pala...stock HU with CD changer at naka leather seat cover din sya...

ganoon talaga ata...mahirap magpakawala ng hard earned money....

Para mas magaang you can have the car financed through your bank para di isang bagsak at mabigat.
