Guys, this is an OT and NOOB question:
I did not create another thread for this, sorry and pls bear with me.

For those with manual transmission, what do you do during standstill traffic/stops at intersection.
I think some drivers leave it at Gear 1 and applies foot brake Or probably some drivers change to N and applies foot brake.

Me, I usually change the gear to Neutral and apply the hand brake. The reason is so I can rest both my feet from the pedals. Will this create unnecessary wear and tear on the transmission box/hand brake? Are there any disadvantage on this?

sorry for the OT, but since I drive an Ertiga, hoping I'll be forgiven hehe..

Safer to go neutral and apply hand brake.

Also, mas hindi pagod mga paa at hita mo.

ako hangga't maari naka neutral and hand brake, tapos nagmi-mini stretching ako ng 2 paa at legs ko para iwas cramps

Change oil, change oil filter, change spark plugs, check all fluids. Check battery, The usual checking na ginagawa nila sa 1st and 2nd.

hehe..actually sir wala sa initial choices namin ang ertiga..we're leaning more to sedans and di kami magkasundo sa mga choices..hehe..then sa swift napilit ko and while checking sa net nakita ko si ertiga maganda specs, looks and prices at nagustuhan din nya kaagad..nagsearch pa ko and nakit ko tong thread at binasa from page 1 at lalo ko sya nagustuhan..lol
