November 21st, 2012 01:39 AM #12I need the prices po for the ff:
Rack & Pinion assembly
Tie Rod
Drive Shaft
Suspension Frame
Engine Support
These were listed by Suzuki Shaw as "needed" replacements for my Swift. I've read in a forum here in Tsikot that the people there are more interested in making a sale instead of giving service to the customer so I'm not sure if these are really needed.
I've had my Swift checked by our family mechanic and he said he doesn't see any need for the replacements.
In case I really need the parts, I would like to know where you usually buy them so at least alam ko san maghahanap. Paranaque area po ako.
Madaming salamat!

as far as parts are concerned at ayaw nyong umorder sa casa you can try buying at Olympia Auto Supply- G.Araneta Ave., Quezon City; marami din sa hilera ng Pasay Rotonda - Libertad.

Nicely put. Also, I know for one that the Suzuki Alabang technicians (there are only two of them since 2007 when I started taking my APV and later on my Esteem for PMS instead of PhilHino) are sent to thousand of hours worth of training specifically on Suzuki cars. As I've said before, I've had more miss than hits sa mga diagnostics outside of casa kaya more often than not, nagkakadoble doble ang gastos ko. By experience, mas taga maningil mga auto parts compared sa casa since alam nilang bihira parts ng Suzuki so what I do nowadays is to get the OEM parts (also had bad experiences on replacement parts) sa casa and have them installed by a trusted mechanic. Mahal kasi labor ng casa. May mga services na ipinagagawa ng casa sa labas. I just asked for the shop's name from casa's SA secretly then sinasadya ko na lang sya after getting the parts sa casa (always with 10% discount). The wife drives the APV and most of the time sya din gamit ng buong pamilya namin since talaga naming comfy ang 2nd and 3rd row seats nya kaya I need to be sure na safe sya by doing the PMS religiously.
Totoong mahirap maghanap ng parts sa simula, lalo na ng mechanic na kabisado ang Suzuki vehicles. Peace of mind is important to me kaya when I built a good relationship sa mga personnel ng Suzuki Alabang, di na ako umalis sa kanila. More often than not, I can ask them to check on somethings for free. Basta don't forget their Christmas gifts
BTW, my APV is on its 9th year and it still looks and drives new.

March 20th, 2013 08:11 AM #18Twice na ako sa Wheels E.Rod. ang pangit diyan sobra tagal ng bill almost 30 minutes. Sa parts naman in my opinion try calling casa and compare the prices. I've notice pag sa Olympia pag special order more or less same price sa casa.

March 20th, 2013 10:21 PM #19I always have my apv pms done at Suzuki Pasig, doon ko kasi binili yun. And, I can say from experience na may mga mechanic sila doon at guard na hindi tumatanggap ng tip, bawal daw.
Ok naman service, so far.

So I had my brakes checked * Suzuki Pasig. Had them clean the disc and pads, and well they did the job good. But the SA approached me afterwards and he had this troubled look, told me "sir, lika may papakita ako sayo". I thought they found a bigger problem in my car. Lo and behold, there is. They scratched it. Yup, the boys whose sole responsibility is to care for my car, scratched it. They were very apologetic, and was willing to paint a whole panel asap, but I want to restore my original paint, so I told them to just do a spot repair. Just sucks to think that they let such a thing happen. They said another driver opened his door too wide and hit mine. Wow, even strangers in parking lots could avoid that, and here goes Mr. Suzuki driver opening his door wide and scratching my car. Sucks.
agree... but I don't think its the "T" Badge. kasi the Livina at 1.2M is basically the old...
