The tyres fitted to it give the Alto the agility to move around easily. It's also one of the reasons on top of its small 800cc engine why it can cruise and run off in a respectable km/hour speed with low gas consumption. Changing the tyres with sizes not specified by the manufacturer could result to a lot of unnecessary problems...hard steering -which could eventually affect your rack and pinion and even tire wear, wrong ground-wheel-body clearances, inaccurate km reading, etc. etc. etc. Yes, I agree that a wider tyre will give our Alto a "racing" look...but guys our Alto is not meant to race plus the fact that a wider tyres will create extra weight and a drag for its minute engine to pull. Worried about the braking distance???...the Alto's braking system and halting power is just right for its small body. Hindi naman baduy ang mags (I mean tire rims concealed with a wheel cap) ng Alto...a lady wearing shoes not matching her dress is more "baduy"...but that's my personal opinion. Our Alto is like a lady that is trim and proper. That's why I love her...(like a mistress) next to my Honda City (but that's a different story)...hehehe! Someday, if we'll take care of our Alto, it will be like the VW Beetle, the more stock it is...the more sought after it becomes...that's my fearless forecast for this future icon.

(unless sa casa ka which is very unpractical)

As we all know, Suzuki Alto is not a car for racing but for fuel economy, so kung gusto niyo talaga ng pangkarera, get a Swift instead hehe, but then again, tuning your ride makes it better. So here it is, nakita ko sa isang site. Actually, I have done all these mods na naman kahit sa ibang sasakyan ko not only for the Alto so I know talagang may improvements.

Also to back up my statement above, that getting bigger tires (mas malapad lang actually) and alloy mags ay hindi lang para sa "porma". as we all know, steel rims lang meron ang alto which is mabigat.

    1. Air Filter + Exhaust upgrade = Gives you upto 5% improvement in Engine's performance.
    2. Upsize the wheel discs to R13 and fit a downsize sectioned 155/65 or 155/75 tyres = Gives you 10 to 20% more stability and road-grip above 100 kmph
    3. Change the discs to alloys. This will give some weight reduction and adds glamour.

    Hi to all out there!

Foremost thank you sa feedback mo.
Maiba lang ako ng topic...are you satisfied with your Alto's gasoline consumption? Nagrereklamo kasi yung anak ko...gas guzzler daw for its dimunitive 800cc engine. Thanks to reply ha...will wait for it.

    Drive safe!

very satisfied. I have a 2.0 gas adventure, 5km/l lang ang fc, compared with the Alto, napakalaki ng tinitipid ko sa gas.

    Oh I see.
So an 11km/l is just fine.
Maybe was expecting something more than that...the print ad says 32km/l in a controlled run...15km/l in normal urban driving...or maybe he's benchmarking it with my car's 1.5 i-vtech engine's 12k/l performance.
But I read in one of the Alto forum threads that the k/l performance improves after the 5K PMS...is it true?

But I agree with you, I can also make that baby sip just a liter of petrol every 15k.

    Thank you.

FC kasi madaming factors... but based on our experience... newly bought alto can go up to 10km/L in a badass driving, after 5k it will improve a lot..

right now i am getting min of 12km/l pure city driving (caloocan to taguig) and tipid mode up to 15km/l
