January 17th, 2007 08:21 PM #42hello, we're planning to buy an apv, but we have some reservations about the performance nung engine. di ba parang maliit makina nung 1.6 sa kaha nya? although we have read some reviews na it luks deceiving daw, dahil it can actually go fast with its engine. can anyone give us some advise? also, ano standard na freebies sa a/t transmission? thanks.

hi bro machongpayat...or strong thin, :D
i invite you to join our club carry philippines...dun po natin pwedeng pag-usapan yan. (www.clubcarryph.tk)
generally speaking apv is not meant for power, it's mean for driving happily with your family...lets say a group of 8 people who could ride around the city comfortably. if you have much more money to spend your 780k, go for the a/t. it's much more complete...you get foglamps and a rear a/c unlike an m/t in which myself and some of my fellow apv owners here do not have.
but if you're looking for power and not driving style, then look for another van. suzuki's simple philosophy is to make driving a pleasure, not to make people race in stock engines. ang 1.6L engine is very right enough to move 8 people around...don't underestimate it na pagkat 1.6 na e mahinang klase ang makina...try riding one in a test drive with your family in it and see the difference it makes...ok? hope this helps.
btw, the 1.6 liter engine that it has is really fast, kahit 8 or even 10 kami sa loob ng van! we ran about 120 sa slex kanina nga eh. :D

uhm sakin is "a-plus". i chose this kasi may sliding/built in cover that protects the lock/unlock keys from being pushed accidentally sa pocket mo.
btw, nagregister ka na ba sa forums natin? (again its at www.clubcarryph.tk), also invite kita sa EB natin sa jaunary 27, 2007 at pioneer center after lunch. dun ako nagpa install ng car alarm ko. i suggest dun ka na rin, and prepare about 3,500-4k for the alarm.

January 23rd, 2007 12:35 PM #46Hi! Got my APV last June 2006 and I've been planning to change my APV's tires and rims to a bigger one ever since. Macky, do you mind sending me a picture of your APV to my email doydoce*yahoo.com? Thanks! Been reading your post and got interested with your tire replacement. Btw, may Suzuki Carry o APV clubs ba sa Davao City?

as soon as i finished doing my grocery shopping at Pioneer center, i chance upon three suzuki swift and one APV next to my tsikot. i think it was some of the tsikoteers here.. i remember reading a thread regarding a plan eb for you all. anyhow, i approached them..check their rides, and asked one person if any from tsikot....deadma ako nila kasi hindi suzuki tsikot ko. huhuhuh.
anyhow.. they had nice rides with some modifications and good asthetics.
keep up them nice looking cars peeps
