    Another question guys, di ba mahirap maghanap ng spares or magpa-repair ng Jimny after 10 years or so?

    Thanks ulit for your valuable inputs!

    Additional question guys, hanggang saan lang dapat nung height ng water ung pwedeng daanan? Baka kasi maging over-confident sa pag-drive sa baha
    Pinakamalalim na bahang naidaan ko yung stock MT jimny ko was I guess as high as the bumper. Halos umakyat ng hood yung tubig while I was fording that at least 5-meter stretch of road dito sa Valenzuela. Success naman, although takut na takot talaga ako.. Just 2 weeks ago, halos knee-deep flood din dinaanan Nya. Buti short stretch Lang din. And yung mga usual Baha sa Abad santos sa Manila, sa R10 (pier), monumento, mani Lang sa jimny.

    Re: parts, magpapalit ako ng clutch. Sa Olympia na Lang ako bumili. Parang 2k ang tipid for the set compared to the price quoted by the casa. And apparently, yung clutch Nya is the same as that used for the samurai.

    My jimny, btw, was bought b/n in November 2002.

    EDIT: am not saying na porke kaya hanggang bumper, sige Lang nang sige. Mas maganda pa rin na Kung pwede, pababain muna yung tubig.

    * r.s.,

    You're looking for a 2012 model? Be aware that the Jimny I bought last May was still one of the Dec. 2011 deliveries from Japan. So it was actually registered at LTO as a 2011 unit... This I was told noong nag-bayad na ako.... parang "Thanks for the check payment. Oh, by the way, 2011 models pa rin ang linalabas ng planta..."

    If you really want a 2012 or 2013 unit, maybe you should wait til they come out locally with the model with some cosmetic changes - air scoop on the hood; a slightly different bumper; and different rear seat headrests. At least then you will be sure it is a "new" model.

    Why are they adding a hood scoop? The Jimny isn't a diesel and has no intercooler... thus... no need for a hood scoop.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Neither are the Subie Forester 2.5 and WRX-STi are diesel-fed but they have bonnet scoops - well they're turbocharged and intercooled though hehe....

    The scoop on the Jimny is only for the turbodiesel version. On the gasoline car, it's nothing but bling.

    Funny about scoops... the new MINI Cooper S variants have front-mount intercoolers instead of the top-mount (as seen on the Subies)... yet they still have the hood scoop...

    Haha! Poging-pogi ngang tignan ang may bonnet scoop, kaso mas gugustuhin ko pa rin ang front-mount, lalo na pag sa traffic sir - ang radiant heat nalang sa makina habang babad ka sa traffic tapos ang intercooler nasa taas, absorb lahat nito ang init hehe.

    Yup sir, sadyang pampadagdag ng pogi points ang bonnet scoop - kahit pang-balat kayo lang ang dating o parang toto waheheh.... Maganda naman talaga tignan, no doubt.

    Kumbaga eh, mahina na nga sasakyan, mahina pa ang driver, ay wala ng mangyayari, di ba? Haha! Kailangan kahit hood scoop man lang meron, bayaan na functionality hehe....

    Cheers!
