If you dont have much credit history (previous loans, credit cards, bills) in-house financing would be better. But as walter said be ready to spend more on the amortization and insurance.

June 13th, 2016 11:40 AM #2418I'm afraid I won't be going to any of those countries you mentioned nor will I have time to scour for them when I'm abroad.
I'm actually pretty tempted to get a 1.2. I'm weighing my options between getting a 1.2 with the lower price and get the things that are missing from the 1.4 (mags, dash compartment, etc). Or get a 1.4 and then just get a touchscreen upgrade from the dealer or elsewhere. I am also considering getting a Jazz or Mazda 2 instead if all else fails.

June 13th, 2016 01:31 PM #2419Well if you don't have the time to look for all those parts (most likely you'll be ordering them from different countries, like we did), and you don't mind the three month wait, I think the 1.4 is.more practical for you.
The 1.2 is the more DIY route eh. The upside tho is you get more room for customization...like when getting the dash compartment, go straight to the CF version, or getting aftermarket mags.

June 13th, 2016 04:56 PM #2420I'm not that into Carbon Fiber anymore. I prefer to keep it stock and simple. Maybe when I get a car that would really benefit from CF (like the 1.6 Swift that's never gonna get here) i'd consider it. And if I ever go CF, kasabay na rin non pagtanggal ng backseat, panels, at lahat ng pampabawas timbang. Haha. Ayako especially ung mga nilalagay ng car manufacturers ngayon na fake/sticker CF sa car. I'll just remove the spare tire and go half tank to get more speed and milage.
The thing I really like about the 1.2, aside from the cheaper price, is the ground clearance. I know most people here would prefer a lower stance and would get coilovers/lowering springs to do so, but I really like the above average 170mm ground clearance it has (it's got the same as an i20 Cross Sport which is already CUV territory). It's not for going off-road or anything but it should be suitable enough to go through lightly flooded roads.
I'm really conflicted sa kung anong kukunin ngayon. Baka intayin ko na lang dumating yung BR-V or ung 2017 Altis. Haha.
Normally free ang insurance for first year. Kung NO DP yung sasakyan nya, swerete nya. Otherwise...
