Hi guys! Can 195/65/15 fit in my 2005 Altis? Stock tire specs is 195/60/15.

I tried rolling a 195/65/15 tire beside my cars tires, and it seems that there is only a small space left on the tire wells. Has anyone tried this upgrade on a 2005 Altis?

--- Will it hit the inner REAR wheel wells with 5 people sitting?
--- ....and when turning the FRONT wheels?

My ride hight is stock, never lowered it. I plan to get the Bridgestone Turanza GR-90.

    Thanks!

Why that size? If ever it does fit, it wont look too good.

Im using 205/60R15 on our Altis now and it fits well.

    Hi vinj!

I'm not of an upgrade person anymore. I just keep my car on stock now a days....the stock tire for an 05 Altis is 195/60/15, yung 15 inch mags na parang fan blade rotor type. So changing it to 205/60/15, I feel will baloon the sides....

Oo nga parang it will not look good sa 195/65/15...parang 80's sizing. Hehehe. I'm kindda of a cross-country type na makapalang profile para mas kain ang lubak and road irregularities.

Won't help. It'll just make it more bouncy. 60-series tires are already sufficient to cushion the mags from any impacts. Too tall a tire will only negatively affect fuel consumption, comfort and suspension performance.

The difference between 205-60 and 195-60 is not big. They'll be obviously wider than stock, but they'll still fit on the wheels.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The 195/60R15 will be sufficient as Niky mentioned.

We have the same type of rims it seems (05-07 OEM 15's). When i used 205's, the car felt more floaty and tipsy unless i air up at 34psi on all fours which doesnt affect the ride much (since the Altis has a tall, soft stock suspension) and i like the added ground clearance when i drive to the provinces. As for the profile, its thicker but not fugly bulging out. What i did before i decided on what tire to get was to test mount the size at the shop (got Goodyear Assurance).

The Turanzas are a good choice tire BTW. Always been happy with them.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I guess I'll just stick with 195/60/15 Turanza GR-90's. Will get 4 soon.

Got the 195/60 R15 GR-90's already 2 weeks ago at Bridgestone Alabang. Php 4,100 each. All I can say is super swabe and tahimik!

I all I can hear now at bumpy roads are my shocks and bushing tumps....then at 100kph up, the wind noise above. My Thule bike racks are definitely contributing to the wind noise. Hehehe

Man tires are really pricey nowadays. I remember the same size and brand costing around P 2.5 to 2.9K a few years ago.
