Tire question: does your front match the rear ?

I have the same tire brand/model/size for all of the tires... it's a must for full-time AWD vehicles:

235/60/R16 Bridgestone Dueler H/T 687

You mean a wider front track? Some cars have it standard, like mine (both cars actually have this feature).

Yes my car's tires match front and rear. 300D has Goodyear Assurance ComforTreds while the 300TE has Kelly Chargers. Both stock sizes. The 300TE tires came like at the time we bought the car and still has good tread left.

I think it has to do with better cornering because the wider front track provides a more stable base than one that's narrower.

I never really paid attention that much with regards to tracking though. But my w123 and the w124 both have wider front tracks.
