Top on the list ang GR80:
Will be changing from 13 to 14 rims kasi. AFAIK around 200-500 ang price diff between 13s and 14s. Got my ER60s for 1600 to 1800 sa Evangelista pero that was more than 2 years ago.
Impressed ako sa low noise levels ng ER60. Rinig ko lahat ng kalampag ng suspension hehe. Even at speeds above 100kph walang noise galing sa tires. Ok rin ang grip nya in the wet. Walang kabig while going through shallow puddles at speed.
The Champiro GTX60 looks good though:

While I've been impressed with the longevity and durability of Champiros, they're not as quiet as the Turanzas... this model could be different, but in general, less $$$ = more noise...
ER60s? Nice tires. The GR80s will cost more, but they'll be better.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

hi guys! up ko lang yung thread. after a thorough search on different threads about tires. i found that wala masyado info regarding this specific tire "falken ziex ze512". because i read from "consumer reports" web site na maganda ang reviews ng users dito and its rated very high across the board (handling, noise, grip, etc...) along with other big brand names. it's an all season tire...
i shopped around evangelista and its priced competitively, around 3k/tire. has anyone here have tried these specific set of tires? how's your experience w/ it? i'm soon due for replacement (195/55/15). and i narrowed my choices to these 3:
-Falken Ziex
-GT champiros
-yokohama A drive
i pretty much have an idea about the GT and yoko's performance, hanap lang talaga ko whom can share me a personal account regarding these specific falkens... btw, are GT's really very noisy??? even noisier than GY nct3?
thanks po!

So far ok naman saken. Grip can satisfy much of the moves I make when venturing Baguio and Tagaytay curves. But I can't consider it the best, after experiencing Neova tires. Road noise oks naman for asphalt. For concrete, a bit noisier compared to Turanza.
For daily driving pwede na. Been having a set na for about 10k na daily and may mga parang bukol na maliliit (can't remember the term) pa rin sa mga threads. Regards sa aquaplaning resistance, di ko pa alam kasi di pa umuulan lately so di ko pa natetest ung grip pag basa. And by the time tagulan na, siguro upgrade na rin ako ng gulong. HTH

Try these sites for more reviews of the Falken tire it's probably much better than the Consumer Reports in terms of looking at tire performance.

I'd go w/ the Champiro. Yung barkada ko naka Champiro 55 (195/55 15) bought last Dec. for only P2.2k+/each lang ata (baka ngayon nagtaas na!) Well on my observation, so far OK naman ride nya, better grip, less noise din, cushioning is fair enough,.. V-thread design is great too.
*170kph: Bro, swak lang yang 205/40 17 sa lovelife mo, di ganung sasayad sa tambol siguro, unless naka 215 ka, sayad yan. Try mo mas makapal like 205/45, baka sakali lang (basta hindi ka lowered, that would be ok!)

The 205/40/17 will fit as long as you're car is not dropped. The rubbing in the wheelwell in the front may only happen if you do a full turn. The back shouldn't be a problem if your car is not dropped. The diameter of the stock tire and the new one would be within 1/16 of an inch and the new one is smaller. Can't you have the place test fit the tire to make sure it fits?
