Anyway I don't use my car on track, but some people I know who use their cars on track told me that Dunlop 901 was pretty good, and now GSD3 is their current choice.

I am leaning towards the Goodyear Ducaro GA for our other car. Not that I like Goodyear, but seems I can buy 4 Ducaro's for only 3 Bridgestone (just ER60). Mas mahirap talaga bumili ng mid level tires, no real data pretty much opinions. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to post some data on mid level tires. Thanks.
That's always the problem with Bridgestones. Great tires, shame about the price. I've heard Ducaros are okay... maybe Carlocaraddict can chime in, he just got a set for his CRV. Mukhang pinaka-best sa comfort tires right now are the premium Michelins and the Yokohama C-Drive, but they're both very expensive... not practical, really, for non-performance tires.

RE: F1 Comparison: Maybe my friend's tires were GSD2s... I'll ask. Either way, the Neovas ranked top in dry grip and on track for Car&Driver, and is actually marketed as an "Ultra-high Performance" street tire, as compared to the Eagles, which are "High Performance" street tires... so the comparison isn't strictly fair... especially considering the Neovas have a shorter life span and cost a hell of a lot.

But with two or three trackdays coming up, it was either this or the Advan A048s, which cost more, and which probably won't last more than a month with me!

Uhmmmm... after going through Bridgestone Grid IIs, Advan Neovas, Advan A038s (hope I'm getting that one right) and various other performance tires... heck no. These track tires are heavier than comfort tires, give worse fuel consumption, tramline (sumusunod sa kalye) and are noisy.

Unless you drive like a hooligan or do time on track, better to get a more comfort oriented tire than a set of these high-grip babies. But the F1-GSD3 is supposed to have good wet grip, and for real-world use, this is often what matters the most... so if you want a performance tire just for the looks, and you're concerned about safety in the rain, the Goodyears are a good choice.

I agree with Niky, the GSD3 will not have much difference for city driving. Sometimes its also a minus, its bumpy and noisy... and yes it feels super to feel the road, but you will get bored and tired of it sometimes. But I use the R34 for long winding country roads, so GSD3 was my choice. Hopefully I wouldn't need to use the extra grip to stop or swerve to avoid an accident.

Siguro nga I will just go with the Ducaro GA, it might be better to have 4 new tires than 2 new slightly better performing tires (I can't buy 3 Turanzas, dapat by pair). Thanks for the feedback.

hi. could you guys give me a tip on buying a good set of tires for my hilux E?

standdard is 205/70/15. i think this is too small for the truck. i want to change it to a bigger tire. using stock rims. no suspension lifts.

i occasionally go provincial trips. so i dont want the new set to be worn out too quickly. and yet i want it to be smooth.

and also the budget. not too expensive.

so is there a specific tire that fits my descriptions?

Just got the Yokohama S.drive for my spare set of mags. For daily use, i'm using the C.drive. The C.drive's qualities are good as advertised. Quiet with a little bit of performance. It also helps that they are not directional which means you can do a full rotation of all four tires. The S.drive and the C.drive are more or less the same price at least for 195/55/R15 size.

The S.drive is the replacement for the ES100. Haven't tried them yet as one of the mags was oblique which i only found out when i was having them balanced. Had to have it machined before balancing it again.

eto sir computation, check mo: http://www.discountpartcenter.com/tirecalc.html

Personally, kung ako naghahanap ng good reviews on tire brands, in addition to the posts here, i go to tirerack.com, and check out the tires sorted by customer satisfaction.
