Josh,
Goodyear F1 GSD3 is probably the best street tyre right now. I am using it right now, from a Pirelli P6000, its a lot better (subjective). May review/test sa tirerack.com, it came out the best max performance tire.

Mayroon bang test (hindi comments) ang mga midrange tires? Yung pang passenger car lang. Based sa comments don't buy Goodyear NCT3. May mga positive comments ang Goodyear Ducaro GA and Bridgestone Turanza ER60.

Turanza GR80's are better than ER60's, my cousin upgraded the ER60's on his car to these.
RE: comfort tires... C! did a test of premium comfort tires... don't remember which issue, you'll have to search... some of my most recent issues were damaged in the Millenyo flood.
RE: Goodyear F1 GSD3... they're better in the wet, which is why they got that win, but Advan Neovas are much better street/track tires for serious performance.
While they're okay in instrumented testing, the Eagle F1s aren't the best tires at communicating the edge of grip, as opined by Kookie Ramirez (C! Magazine, earlier this year, Goodyear placed low on their comparo) and a clubmate who got a set to replace his old Advan A460s (on the basis of that comparison), only to replace them with something else afterwards (maybe he drives too fast), but in 8/10ths driving, they're okay.
Strange that C&D says they communicate well... oh well... might be different composition for local Goodyears?
The Neovas communicate much better, and they feel almost like dedicated race tires, but they're darn expensive. And the better performance of the Eagles in the rain? I drive slowly in the rain.Last edited by niky; October 16th, 2006 at 09:45 AM.

Thanks Niky. I read somewhere (not sure) that the C! review used GSD2 and not GSD3. From what I know GSD2 is not that good for its class and time. Anyway I don't use my car on track, but some people I know who use their cars on track told me that Dunlop 901 was pretty good, and now GSD3 is their current choice.
I am leaning towards the Goodyear Ducaro GA for our other car. Not that I like Goodyear, but seems I can buy 4 Ducaro's for only 3 Bridgestone (just ER60). Mas mahirap talaga bumili ng mid level tires, no real data pretty much opinions. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to post some data on mid level tires. Thanks.

October 16th, 2006 01:06 PM #198Ano ba ung difference ng F1-GSD2 sa F1-GSD3? Are these tires practical to use in day to day driving (specifically city driving)? Would the price of this tires justify the purpose of usage of the car? Your comments please....

I experienced it all in Hankook, noice level (tolerable and depends on alot of factors), ride comfort (you wont get much, dahil low profile. Except naka Continental ka, pero may kamahalan) at matibay naman (normal driving habit). Actually, Hankook is included in the top ten world ranking
overtaking Yokohama na and Toyo.
