    hi,

i've split my tie rod ends from the knuckle and held the tie rod/rackend up. when i release it, it immediately drops down. is the a sign of wear that needs replacement na?

if they can be moved without noticeable resistance, yes they are in need of replacement.

yup, no resistance. the only resistance that i have is the pure weight of the tie rod/rack end being pulled down by gravity.

    spyghost,
bad people don't die easy and you're too darn lucky to be alive. replace worn steering components soon as you hear noises and feel erratic driving. you don't have to squeeze the last penny's worth of those components. it is like playing russian roullette with an M9 (FN92) pistol.
