if i may, i did this b4 w my nissan & i estim8d d serviceable lyf of d repaired part in proportion 2 d cost vis-a-vis d serviceable lyf & cost of oem parts. if d proportion differs by just abt 20% +/-, den i will go for oem considering d peace of mind & performance satisfaction of having all oem parts working harmoniously in ur ride.

even at 50% diff i would certainly suggest getting OEM..but usually this is not the case, difference in repair job often time costs 100%++ less compared to getting OEM

I opt to have it repaired for my old car. If I had a newer car, I might go for a brandnew part.
