A compression test tells you whether your cylinders are fit... in other words, if the pressure in each cylinder as they move through their power strokes is similar or the same, the engine is healthy. If one cylinder has low pressure, it's probably leaking air, either through the piston rings or through the valves.
In such a case, a leakdown test will tell you which way the air is going.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Sir meron specific equipment na ginagamit yan na available in any talyer?
For city driving ok lang ba mineral oil na castrol or meron mas ok na brand?
Is it true na yung vvti na altis maselan daw sa langis na kailagan synthetic or sales talk lang sa casa?
Thanks

November 6th, 2007 07:17 PM #95Shell may 15w40 red bottle and 20w50 yellow bottle. Caltex 20w50 only. Castrol, parang may nakita akong ibang viscosity sa True value. Imported parang 5w30 yata. Di ko kabisado ang sa Petron. Try mo website nila.

Last edited by suv; November 7th, 2007 at 03:30 AM.

November 7th, 2007 11:29 PM #99suv, the thickest you should go is a 40 viscosity for a stock engine. it's probably sales talk that maselan yung vvti ng toyota kaya kelangan synthetic. the way they should sell it is telling you more of the benefits of better quality oil rather than telling lies about the engines in their own cars. don't use a 50 viscosity if that is not recommended.
edtf, well in royal purples case the 15w40 oil is specifically formulated for diesel engines. it also has the API diesel certification. not sure what other test you need.
